Benghazi Scandal Takes Another Turn Against Obama and Clinton
It seems that in the wake of the IRS and NSA scandals that the Benghazi scandal has almost been forgotten. However the recent admission of Martin Dempsey, Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, is certain to bring it all back into the limelight.
In the weeks following the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the US Consulate grounds in Benghazi, The White House and State Department both said that there were no troops or Special Forces that could have reached the consulate in time to help them, even though there were reports that said otherwise.
Now we learn that both the White House (Obama) and the State Department (Clinton) were again lying to the American people. According to a statement from Dempsey, a highly trained team of Special Forces, C-110, were within a few hours of Benghazi. The consulate reported that they were under attack early on and the attack lasted over 8 hours. If Dempsey is telling the truth, the Special Forces unit could have been there and possibly save the lives of the four Americans.
Dempsey tried to protect the White House and State Department by first saying that the Special Forces unit was more than 6 hours away and that was only if they were setting on the tarmac at the time. He did acknowledge that the unit was training in Croatia. A large commercial jet liner can make the trip in about two and half hours, and sources close to the unit said they could have loaded up and flown to Benghazi in about four to four and half hours.
He also testified that the Special Forces unit had been told to begin preparations to leave Croatia to return to the base in Germany. If that were true, then they would have already been preparing their gear for transport which would have cut their arrival time to Benghazi down.
Dempsey’s testimony before the Senate did verify a report that was aired on Fox News back in April that said there was a Special Forces unit close enough to have responded to the call for help from the consulate. The Fox News report quoted a whistleblower source as saying:

“We had the ability to load out, get on birds and fly there, at a minimum stage. “C-110 had the ability to be there, in my opinion, in a matter of about four hours … four to six hours.”To add more controversy to what was reported and what really happened, Dempsey told the Senate hearing that on the night of the Benghazi attack, the command of the Special Forces unit was unexpectedly transferred from the European Command to the Africa Command. Former Libyan Deputy Ambassador to Libya Gregory Hicks testified earlier that when he got word of the attack, he tried to contact the Africa Command but received no support. He said:
“They would have been there before the second attack. They would have been there at a minimum to provide a quick reaction force that could facilitate their exfil [sic] out of the problem situation. Nobody knew how it was going to develop. And you hear a whole bunch of people and a whole bunch of advisers say hey, we wouldn’t have sent them there because, you know, the security was unknown situation.”
“At about 10:45 or 11 we confer, and I asked the defense attache who had been talking about AFRICOM and with the joint staff, ‘Is anything coming? Will they be sending us any help? Is there something out there?’ And he answered that, the nearest help was in Aviano, the nearest – where there were fighter planes. He said that it would take two to three hours for them to get onsite, but that there also were no tankers available for them to refuel. And I said, ‘Thank you very much,’ and we went on with our work.”So even in his attempt to support the White House and Statement Department, Dempsey only helped verify the earlier reports that help could have been sent to Benghazi, but it wasn’t. The help could have possibly arrived in time to make a difference, but no attempt or effort was made to save the Americans at the consulate. Our government deserted our ambassador and his staff and just left them there to fend for themselves against nearly 200 hostiles.
Alec Baldwin: The Military Might Be About To “Overthrow” Obama…
There is a report tonight that liberal actor Alex Baldwin thinks the military is about to overthrow the Barack Obama Regime. Baldwin had tweeted the following comment:
"Are we witnessing the beginnings of a military overthrowof the US govt?"
It appears since that tweet, the account has been deleted and tweeters are suggesting he deleted his own account and quit Twitter.
Obama besieged by ‘birthers’ on Africa trip!
After a Yahoo! News reporter wrote that President Obama would not be swinging by his country of birth while in Africa, angry tweeters dismissed a hastily issued correction and demanded that she be fired immediately. Even in Africa, though, the president can't escape the indignity of those questioning his birthplace.
When government goes rogue: Obama imprisons whistleblowers who expose crimes
(NaturalNews) Is there a fine - or a not-so-fine - line between the public's right to know and keeping classified information classified? That is the question swirling around NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden's recent disclosure that the spy agency he worked for was conducting blanket surveillance on American citizens, in apparent violation of its charter to focus on foreign-based threats.
Following his exposure of the NSA's activities the Guardian, a British newspaper, earlier this month, the Obama Administration has since charged Snowden under the Espionage Act, which was passed in 1917 as the United States prepared to enter World War I. The law was aimed at preventing disclosure of top secret information that could help an enemy, but not just during wartime; some - mostly members of Congress and the Big Government establishment - now argue that Snowden, in disclosing the NSA's activities, broke that law.
But it is interesting to note that, even before Snowden made his disclosures, President Obama - who, in 2006, criticized the Bush Administration for using the NSA to spy on Americans - has launched a campaign against whistleblowers who disclose illegal and illicit activities committed by the federal government.
Unless, of course, he is president.
Their advantages are obvious - they can be controlled from thousands of miles away, reducing the risk for actual personnel.
But drones are also highly controversial and many have expressed ethical concerns about their use. Yet they only getting more advanced.
The web site was first revealed by Schuyler Montague of Sharia Unveiled, an educational organization that teaches the truth about radical Islam, Sharia law, and history, while they were researching a story on the recent removal of Counter-jihad pages by Facebook.
Montague said, “While researching our story yesterday on the recent removal of Counter-jihad pages by Facebook, we uncovered some very disturbing information. In an attempt to locate the source of the Islamic onslaught against the freedom of expression, we ventured down the rabbit hole of Islamic hate… and what we discovered when we got there, tucked away in a dark corner, was a website operated by a terrorist organization called the Islamic Socialist Network.”
The distinction here is mostly meaningless. Iran was originally playing the same game in Syria, refusing to admit that its Revolutionary Guard was on the ground. And Hezbollah is a terrorist group. It certainly balances out the Al Nusra Front.
Qatari trainers are on the ground in Jordan providing training to the rebels. If Obama pulls a No Fly Zone, they will be officially on the ground in Syria. And they probably are already anyway.
Kerry’s complaint is nothing short of bizarre considering that the United States has been arming and training Syrian Jihadists. Does he consider it appropriate to arm and train fighters, but not appropriate to actually go to the next step and send actual troops in? The distinction becomes minor after a while. A legalism. A question of degree.
Turkey and Qatar are waging war on Syria. The war is part of a regional religious war between Sunnis and Shiites with Iran on one side and the Sunni Islamists of Qatar, Turkey and Saudi Arabia on the other.
What exactly does Kerry expect? Both sides have fighters on the ground. Obama Inc. has just chosen to back the Sunni terrorists over the Shiite terrorists. But let’s not pretend that represents some kind of moral high ground.
"Under our terms, this Page does not credibly threaten a specific person or target a protected category," he explained in an email.
Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch wrote about the page Tuesday, calling it "real hatred and incitement to violence."
"It is not 'hate' when it's a Facebook page. It only becomes 'hate' when I report about it," he wrote.
At least two readers at Jihad Watch said they reported the page to Facebook and were told it did not violate their terms of service.
It's not the first time Facebook has ruled in favor of such content.
In April, the social media giant said a gruesome video of a woman being decapitated did not violate their rules against graphic violence.
Wolens justified the ruling by claiming that people were posting it in order to condemn it.
The news of Wednesday's ruling did not sit well with Diane Sori, a conservative blogger who was banned from Facebook over a link to a beheading picture she never posted. The link was posted by an administrator of the pro-Sarah Palin page "Barracuda Brigade for Our American Girl! 2012."
Sori, along with other administrators of the page, was punished due to Facebook's policies that hold all administrators responsible for content regardless of the circumstances.

Sounds like a typical leftist to me.
“I welcome the home secretary’s ban on Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer from entering the country. This is the right decision. The UK should never become a stage for inflammatory speakers who promote hate,” said Keith Vaz, chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee.
Apparently Vaz would rather have mobs of raving lunatics beheading more British citizens in the middle of the street in broad daylight.
Fortunately, not everyone in the UK has lost their minds.
“It’s embarrassing for this so-called land of democracy and freedom of speech,” EDL leader Tommy Robinson. “How many hate preachers are living in this country? It just shows what sort of a two-tier system we have here.”

Jones, along with a bipartisan group of lawmakers, are pushing a resolution that would prevent President Obama from arming the Syrian rebels without congressional approval.
"If Congress sends one troop- if one of our troops goes to Syria and is killed, I will introduce articles of impeachment against the president," Rep. Jones said at a Capitol Hill News conference on Thursday.
Jones and co-supporters of the resolution said while the deadly civil war has created a humanitarian crisis, they fear U.S. military intervention will only exacerbate the situation.
They cited Libya, where U.S. involvement helped oust Moammar Gadhafi but left a lawlessness, reflected in the deadly assault in Benghazi last September that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.
Besides Jones, the lawmakers pushing for the resolution are Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Rep. Chris Gibson (R-N.Y.), Rep. Peter Welch (D-Vt.), and Rep. Rick Nolan (D-Minn.).

Like many Americans, in the wake of learning about the Big Brother-like NSA surveillance programs, I've begun to question just how free we really are in America. Just how many of our rights are we willing to sacrifice in the name of national security?
A study done by Privacy International back in 2007 ranked the United States among the worst offenders of privacy rights. In fact, the study concludes the U.S. “is the worst ranking county in the democratic world,” playing second fiddle only to countries like China and Russia. China and Russia don’t exactly bring to mind glowing pictures of a surveillance-free life. Something more along the lines of Yakov Smirnoff's “In Soviet Russia...” joke comes to mind. How can our nation call itself the “Land of the Free” if the privacy of our citizens is given the same level of disregard as in Russia and China? If the state of our privacy rights was this bad in 2007, I shudder to think how the U.S. would rank if another study were done today.
What so many people forget is that our privacy, while it is a natural, God-given right to begin with, is protected under the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution:
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Judicial Watch had filed, on June 22, 2012, a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request seeking all documents relating to Operation Fast and Furious and “specifically [a]ll records subject to the claim of executive privilege invoked by President Barack Obama on or about June 20, 2012.”
The administration has refused to comply with Judicial Watch’s FOIA request, and in mid-September the group filed a lawsuit challenging Holder’s denial. That lawsuit remains ongoing but within the past week President Barack Obama’s administration filed what’s called a “motion to stay” the suit. Such a motion is something that if granted would delay the lawsuit indefinitely.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said that Holder’s and Obama’s desire to continually hide these Fast and Furious documents is “ironic” now that they’re so gung-ho on gun control. “It is beyond ironic that the Obama administration has initiated an anti-gun violence push as it seeking to keep secret key documents about its very own Fast and Furious gun walking scandal,” Fitton said in a statement. “Getting beyond the Obama administration’s smokescreen, this lawsuit is about a very simple principle: the public’s right to know the full truth about an egregious political scandal that led to the death of at least one American and countless others in Mexico. The American people are sick and tired of the Obama administration trying to rewrite FOIA law to protect this president and his appointees. Americans want answers about Fast and Furious killings and lies.” Read more via Breitbart...
Obama is scheduled to visit South Africa as part of his three-nation African tour that begins today but the National Education Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu) today said he is not welcome.
Speaking at the union’s 10th Congress currently holding in Boksburg, Nehawu president Mzwandile Makwayiba said that US and South Africa’s foreign policies are very different. He called on South African workers to help block the visit.
“Labour unions, political movements and civil society bodies are expected to hold protests and pickets as the US President is scheduled to visit the country,” the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) reported this afternoon.
According to SABC: “The Stand-up Foundation in KwaZulu-Natal says it will lead a demonstration at the Durban City Hall on Wednesday afternoon in a campaign called, ‘No, you Can’t, Obama’.
“The group says it’s against Obama being allowed into the country, claiming he has committed crimes against humanity by supplying weapons to Israeli and Syrian rebels.
“The foundation’s president Shabnum Palesa Mohammad says ‘the protest is to stand up for truth and justice in real freedom’.
“Some University of Johannesburg students will also protest against UJ’s decision to award Obama an honorary doctorate.”
This is Obama’s first visit to South Africa. The tour will see him also visit Senegal and Tanzania.
Obama Requests 15,000 Russian Troops For “Upcoming” Disaster
An unsettling report prepared by the Emergencies Ministry (EMERCOM) circulating in the Kremlin today on the just completed talks between Russia and the United States in Washington D.C. says that the Obama regime has requested at least 15,000 Russian troops trained in disaster relief and “crowd functions” [i.e. riot control] be pre-positioned to respond to FEMA Region III during an unspecified “upcoming” disaster.
According to this report, this unprecedented request was made directly to Minister Vladimir Puchkov by US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Director Janet Napolitano who said these Russian troops would work “directly and jointly” with her Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), part of whose mission is to secure the continuity of the US government in the event of natural disasters or war.
Important to note, this report says, is that FEMA Region III, the area Russian troops are being requested for, includes Washington D.C. and the surrounding States of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia, “strongly suggesting” that the Obama regime has lost confidence in its own military being able to secure its survival should it be called upon to do so.
In his public statements, yesterday, regarding these matters Minister Puchkov stated, “We have decided that the US Federal Emergency Management Agency and Russia’s Emergencies Ministry will work together to develop systems to protect people and territory from cosmic impacts,” and further noted that his meeting with DHS Director Napolitano also covered other kinds of natural emergencies, such as recent years’ extreme weather in both Russia and United States.

Radical Muslims post bounty on bloggers, Facebook users
An Islamic jihadist website, Islamic Socialist NetWork (ISN), based out of the U.K. was found on Tuesday where Muslims in the U.K., Australia, and Canada posted cash bounties on some operators of counter-jihad bloggers and Facebook users for speaking out about Islam.
On their website, photos of Facebook page administrators on “Wanted” posters were posted along with cash rewards in various amounts of up to a million dollars for personal information such names and addresses of where the operators reside. The web site was first revealed by Schuyler Montague of Sharia Unveiled, an educational organization that teaches the truth about radical Islam, Sharia law, and history, while they were researching a story on the recent removal of Counter-jihad pages by Facebook.

Kerry Channels Baghdad Bob, Claims No Saudis Fighting in Syria
This is one of those “It may be sorta technically true, but it’s a complete lie in every other sense of the word.”
Secretary of State John Kerry’s assertion Tuesday that no Saudis are fighting in Syria raised eyebrows, but the State Department said later the point he was making was that the kingdom is not actively involved in the conflict in the same way Iran is on the regime’s side.Kerry is obviously channeling Baghdad Bob here. And you can see why since they do have some things in common. There are plenty of Saudi fighters on the ground. They are being armed by the Saudi and Qatari governments. But they just aren’t officially part of the Saudi military.
“We do not believe it is appropriate for the Assad regime to have invited the Iranians and Hezbollah to cross international lines and to have their fighters on the ground,” Kerry said. “There are no United States fighters. There are no Saudi fighters. There are no Qatari fighters on the ground.”
The distinction here is mostly meaningless. Iran was originally playing the same game in Syria, refusing to admit that its Revolutionary Guard was on the ground. And Hezbollah is a terrorist group. It certainly balances out the Al Nusra Front.

Facebook: Page advocating the beheading of infidels does not violate rules
Despite Facebook's rules prohibiting violent content, a page that openly advocates beheading anyone who disrespects the prophet Mohammed does not violate the site's terms of service, Facebook spokesman Fred Wolens told Examiner on Wednesday.
The page, "Behead Those Who Disrespect Our Prophet P.B.U.H," does not violate the rules, Wolens said, because Facebook has "different standards around images versus text.""Under our terms, this Page does not credibly threaten a specific person or target a protected category," he explained in an email.

UK bans anti-Islamic U.S. bloggers, says presence ‘not conducive to the public good’
It seems that in today’s topsy-turvy world where evil is good and good is evil, free speech — or rather, speech that is critical of Islam — is not welcome in once-free societies like the UK.
Two prominent U.S. bloggers known for their criticism of Islam – Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer — were told they were not welcome in the UK, the BBC reported, because of their criticisms of Islam. They were scheduled to speak at an English Defence League march in Woolwich, where Drummer Lee Rigby was hacked to death in broad daylight by a Muslim.
The BBC added:
A government spokesman said individuals whose presence “is not conducive to the public good” could be excluded by the home secretary. So, hacking a British soldier to death in front of witnesses in broad daylight in the middle of the street isn’t extreme?
He added: “We condemn all those whose behaviours and views run counter to our shared values and will not stand for extremism in any form.”

What's The Dumbest Thing You Could Say To A Congresswoman Who Lost Her Legs In Battle? Um, THIS.
An IRS contractor hurt his foot playing football in military prep school. He never served in the actual military. Then one day, decades later, he used it to get preferred treatment in military contracts. Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), who lost both her legs and still could lose her arm from combat injuries, felt that this might just be a touch inappropriate. It gets amazing around 4:30.

Holder Begs Court To Prevent Public From Seeing Obama’s “Executive Privilege” Records Relating to “Fast And Furious”...
Attorney General Eric Holder and his Department of Justice have asked a federal court to indefinitely delay a lawsuit brought by watchdog group Judicial Watch. The lawsuit seeks the enforcement of open records requests relating to Operation Fast and Furious, as required by law.Judicial Watch had filed, on June 22, 2012, a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request seeking all documents relating to Operation Fast and Furious and “specifically [a]ll records subject to the claim of executive privilege invoked by President Barack Obama on or about June 20, 2012.”

Protestors Dump Sewage At Airport Ahead of Obama´s South Africa Visit…
Protestors in South Africa, thought to be affiliated with the ruling African National Congress (ANC) party, dumped raw sewage at the Cape Town International Airport on Tuesday. President Barack Obama is due to arrive in South Africa on Friday and will speak in Cape Town on Sunday. The protest was linked to a series of ongoing demonstration in the so-called “toilet wars” over sanitation policy in the city. It was not aimed at Obama, but took place against a backdrop of demonstrations and internal battles surrounding Obama’s visit.
