Report: Armed Response Team Ordered to Stand Down as Navy Yard Shooting Started

On Wednesday, BBC News reported that an armed emergency response team arrived on site at the Washington Navy Yard within minutes of Aaron Alexis beginning his shooting spree, but was forced to stand down and was instead ordered back to Capitol Hill. According to BBC, “A tactical response team of the Capitol police, a force that guards the US Capitol complex, was told to leave the scene by a supervisor instead of aiding municipal officers.” A Capitol Police source told the BBC, “I don’t think it’s a far stretch to say that some lives may have been saved if we were allowed to intervene.” When Alexis began shooting at approximately 8:20 AM ET, the four-man Containment and Emergency Response Team (CERT) was already near the Navy Yard. They were armed with HK-416 rifles, and were already wearing full tactical gear. They arrived at Building 197 a few minutes later. But the Washington Metropolitan Police watch commander reportedly told CERT to go back to Capitol Hill.

GOP Rep: Obama should be impeached if he tries to usurp Congress on debt

While speaking at a Tea Party event in Charleston, SC, Rep. Tim Scott (R-SC) said that if President Obama tries to bypass Congress to borrow beyond the debt limit, he would consider it an "impeachable act."
Scott said it would be "catastrophic" if the President tried to "usurp the entire system set up by our Founding Fathers over something this significant."
According to Scott, the idea is "silly", but he said "there is a tad bit of truth to it."
"This president is looking to usurp congressional oversight to find a way to get it done without us," he said.

RUSSIA CONFESSES: Missiles fired in Syria chemical were antique Russian missiles from 1960s

Russia has confessed to its part in a deadly sarin chemical attack on Syrian civilians last month - in a roundabout way. Russian officials now admit that Russian missiles were used in the attack, but stress that they were all from the 1960s. Henceforth, they were too old for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to have used, and this proves that rebels fighting against his regime were behind the attack.
LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - They argue that President Assad's military machine would not have used this "ancient junk" for a chemical attack when they have more modern missiles.

The first missile was "a 140-mm M-14-series rocket projectile from an old Soviet-made BM-14-17 multiple-launch system dating from 1952," Russian Pukhov, director of Russia's Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies, says.

Official point to the fact that the numbering and Cyrillic letters prove it is from Sibselmash plant in Novosibirsk, which during the Cold War was "one of the USSR's main producers of various types of unguided rocket projectiles . The code 4-67-179 means the 4th batch in 1967 by factory 179," he said.

Pukhov says it is "unlikely" the USSR had sold chemical weapons to Syria. In any case, "an old munition has clearly been improvised to take chemicals . We know that the Syrians took the BM-14-17 out of service long ago and M-14-series projectiles for that weapon are long past their storage deadlines.

"If they wanted to use chemical munitions then they probably would not have wanted to risk it with antiques like these and instead would have gone for the BM-21 Grad, for which they probably do have chemical munitions.

"But the insurgents could have found this ancient junk after capturing some military storage depot."

The second projectile identified by weapons inspectors looked to be "home made." Pukhov added that "the Syrian army is unlikely to be making and using such primitive munitions."

Russia has since made further claims that it has handled new materials by the Syrian regime which implicate the rebels in the chemical attack outside Damascus on August 21.

Hillary is Bisexual…Obama an alcoholic…And the Obamas are near Divorce

Hillary’s new tell-all book for which she has received a 25 million dollar advance is filled with revelations to keep us going through the 2016 election cycle.  The Enquirer has been extremely accurate since they lost a libel suit many years ago and Gennifer Flowers was in tight with Bill.

According to Gennifer Flowers, who had an affair with Bill Clinton for many years, Bill told her that Hillary was bisexual.  Flowers said that’s why she was not surprised when she heard the rumor that Hillary and Huma Abedin were having an affair.

Did George H.W. Bush witness JFK assassination?

FBI files, newspaper ad and curious photos raise questions

NEW YORK – Despite his claims to the contrary, there is documentary evidence that George H. W. Bush was in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963, and was affiliated at that time with the CIA, despite protests that he was not associated with the agency until President Gerald R. Ford appointed him director in 1976.
Two FBI memos and a photograph of a man standing outside the Texas School Book Depository are among the intriguing items addressed in Jerome Corsi’s new book “Who Really Killed Kennedy”.
The evidence is significant as Corsi broaches the question asked by some researchers of the assassination: Was John F. Kennedy the first presidential victim of the emerging “New World Order” championed by former CIA directors Allen Dulles and George H. W. Bush?

Syria crisis reveals uneasy relationship between Obama, nation’s military leaders

The Syrian crisis over the past few weeks has thrust President Obama into a role in which at times he has seemed uneasy: that of commander in chief.

The prospect of an attack to punish Syria’s alleged use of chemical weapons exposed the Nobel Peace laureate’s strained and somewhat tentative relationship with the military. His dramatic oscillation from detachment on Syria to the brink of military action, with him ultimately settling for a potential diplomatic solution, has unsettled many people in uniform.

Russia's Putin hopeful, but not 100% sure Syrian chemical arms deal will succeed

VALDAI, Russia - Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday he could not be 100 percent certain a plan for the destruction of Syrian chemical arms would be carried out successfully but he saw reason to hope it would.
Putin, whose country has been the Syrian government's main ally in the more than two-year-old civil war, praised US President Barack Obama for not carrying out threats of a military strike over a poison gas attack in rebel-held areas.
He said such a strike would violate international law and reiterated suspicions that Assad's opponents had staged the attack, which killed hundreds of people on Aug. 21, to encourage military action by the United States.
"Will we be able to accomplish it all (the destruction of Syria's chemical arms)? I cannot be 100 percent sure about it," Putin told a gathering of journalists and Russia experts.
"But everything we have seen so far in recent days gives us confidence that this will happen ... I hope so."

Report: Syria transported chemical weapons to Iraq

Syria has moved 20 trucks worth of equipment and material used for the manufacturing of chemical weapons into neighboring Iraq, the Lebanese daily Al-Mustaqbal reported on Sunday.
The government in Baghdad has denied allegations that it is helping the Syrian government conceal chemical stockpiles.
The report came just a day after the United States and Russia struck a deal stipulating that Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime would destroy its chemical arsenal to avert an American military assault.
The newspaper reported that the trucks crossed the boundary separating Syria with Iraq over the course of Thursday and Friday. Border guards did not inspect the contents of the trucks, which raises suspicions that they contained illicit cargo, according to Al-Mustaqbal.
Al-Mustaqbal, a publication that has long been affiliated with anti-Syrian political elements in Lebanon, quoted a spokesperson for Iraq's interior ministry, Saad Maan, as saying that security forces were deployed along the border and were checking all vehicles coming into the country.
"Iraq today is not Saddam Hussein's Iraq," he said. "It is not an Iraq which resorts to the use of chemical weapons against its own people or against its neighbors."
