ATF Agent Sends Shockwaves Across Internet With Explosive Allegations About ‘Fast and Furious’ and Brian Terry’s Death

John Dodson, the federal agent who blew the lid off the Justice Department’s “Fast and Furious” gun-walking scandal, claims the FBI had ties to the men who killed U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in 2010 near Nogales, Ariz. In fact, Dodson says the Mexican bandits who gunned down Terry were working for FBI operatives and had been sent to the border to do a “drug rip-off” using intelligence gathered by the DEA.

Dodson, a special agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, said he doesn’t think the FBI was part of the rip-off crew, but the agency was “directing the rip crew.” The explosive claims were made in an interview with The Arizona Republic this week and are already creating some waves across the Internet.

The allegations are also found in Dodson’s recently released book, “The Unarmed Truth,” which chronicles his role as a whistleblower during Operation Fast and Furious. The Obama administration unsuccessfully tried to block the publication of his book.

Terry belonged to an elite Border Patrol tactical team sent to a remote area known as Peck Canyon, roughly a dozen miles northwest of Nogales, where violence had escalated because criminal gangs were stealing narcotics from drug runners known as mules. He was slain in a shootout with several bandits. Two assault-type rifles found at the scene were subsequently traced to Fast and Furious.

The operation, based in Phoenix, was launched in 2009 to identify and prosecute drug lords, but instead allowed guns to be “walked” into the hands of Mexican criminals. ATF agents encouraged licensed firearms dealers in Arizona to sell more than 2,000 weapons to known “straw buyers” who were working for cartels. Instead of arresting suspects immediately, surveillance agents took notes and let them disappear with the guns.

After the Terry slaying and an attempted cover-up within the Justice Department, Dodson provided evidence and testimony to Congress. His revelations, later verified by an Office of the Inspector General’s report, ignited a national scandal over Fast and Furious that resulted in a congressional contempt citation against Attorney General Eric Holder and the replacement of top ATF and Justice Department officials.

Iraq to U.S.: Send in the drones, Hellfire missiles to destroy al Qaeda

The Iraqi government wants drones — American drones.
Iraq has requested 10 reconnaissance drones and Hellfire missiles from the U.S. to help with waves of attacks perpetrated by al Qaeda and its affiliates. There is also debate within the Iraqi government about having American-operated and armed Predator or Reaper drones, the New York Timesreported.

In 2011, American officials failed to secure a Status of Forces Agreement with Iraq, which now complicates matters as the nation’s officials request U.S. assistance. The Baghdad government of Nouri al-Malaki is struggling to control an influx of Islamic fighters from Syria, many of whom have contributed to the death of 8,000 civilians in 2013, according to the United Nations.
State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki issued a statement Sunday warning that the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, an al Qaeda affiliate, is “seeking to gain control of territory inside the borders of Iraq.”
Iraq’s latest requests comes only months after the U.S. completed more than $4 billion in foreign military sales to Iraq, the Military Times reported. The package included infantry carriers, ground-to-air rockets, 681 Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, 40 truck-mounted launchers, Sentinel radars, and three Hawk anti-aircraft batteries with 216 Hawk missiles.
The U.S. also plans to supply Iraq in 2014 with F-16s, helicopters and logistical support, according to the Military Times.

City's crackdown on black mob violence leads to comparison of 'slave roundup'

A report by Colin Flaherty published on World Net Daily this morning may help explain why the issue of violent crime in the black community is not being addressed, and is in fact worsening. Flaherty's report on recent arrests in Chatanooga, TN details the backlash from the black community after the arrests of 32 black men, described by police as "the worst of the worst" criminals in Chatanooga. Black leaders in the city even compared the arrests to "slave roundups."
Chatanooga police wanted to clean up what is one of the most dangerous cities in America. The arrests demonstrated that the "most violent crime comes from a very small pocket" of people. According to Flaherty's report, authorities wanted to send a message to those criminals: Stop, move, or get arrested.
It all began when a local newspaper, the "Times Free Press," began pressuring local officials to do something about the rampant crime in the city of 176,000. The paper began publishing a series on the rising problem of black mob violence in Chatanooga, and the denials that it was even an issue, called "Speak No Evil."
As in many cities with similar crime problems, pointing out the source of the violence was met with cries of bigotry. Nevermind that it is impossible to combat a problem if you can't even discuss it in an open, honest manner. Forget that those who are harmed the most by the violence are the very same people who scream racism when the problem is addressed.
Two weeks after the arrests the paper organized a public forum designed to "convince residents in high-crime neighborhoods to give up the code of silence and start calling police when they see a crime." Around 200 residents showed up for the meeting, most of them black. The paper reported that the forum:
"quickly turned into a diatribe about prejudice and racism in Chattanooga. A number of comments revealed a strong belief that the black community has been treated unfairly by whites. Several speakers referred specifically to the November arrest of 32 black men that police called the ‘worst of the worst’ criminals in Chattanooga."
“‘Don’t just single out our kids,’ one black man said, speaking into the microphone. ‘Are they the only ones that commit crime?’ he asked to cheers and hollers.”

One of the BEST videos of the year.

Congress Seeking to pass Bill to Cancel Faith Based Television

Congress might try to pass a bill to cancel Christian and local TV programming if it goes through.

Louisiana Republican Representative Steve Scalise presented the Next Generation Television Marketplace Act, which aims to eliminate the “must-carry” set of laws honoring free, local television.
“Decades-old broadcast, cable and satellite laws dramatically restrict access and limit consumer choice,” Scalise said in a statement.
If The Next Generation Television Marketplace Act is ratified, many Television ministers feel it will become extinct on cable stations.
“(The bill) would be a significant detriment to Christian TV stations and the viewers who rely on them for spiritual guidance,” said National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) network CEO and President Dr. Jerry Johnson.
Trinity Broadcasting Network, one of the nation’s prevalent Christian networks in America and worldwide, echoes Dr. Johnson’s sentiments.
“Anytime you decide that you’re going to change the marketplace without really understanding the marketplace we think it is a mistake, and I’m sorry that Rep. Scalise didn’t seem to know that. He certainly never reached out to any of us in the religious broadcasting community and certainly none of the local broadcasters that I’m aware of,” said TBN’s advocate Colby May who believes the proposal is “ill advised.”
“Valuable local affiliate programming, strongly demanded by consumers including myself, is proof that archaic government regulations are unnecessary today,” said Scalise, who is also the Republican Study Committee Chairperson.
NRB President Dr. Johnson disagrees with Scalise because he believes “long-standing carriage rules ensure that viewers can access the important and edifying programming their local Christian broadcasters offer free-of-charge.”

Obama’s Foreign Policy Report Card

Shortly before his election in 2008, Barack Obama said he intended to fundamentally transform the United States. As we learned within months of his inauguration, he also intended to fundamentally transform America’s relation to the rest of the world.
Five years into Obama’s administration, we see the results. He has succeeded in diminishing America’s influence in the world. Our allies no longer trust us; our enemies no longer fear us.

To Obama, this is success. He clearly sees the United States as just another player in the so-called international community. To him, America is not an exceptional nation with a special place in the world. We are one among many. Nothing more, nothing less.
From his first major foreign policy speech in Cairo in 2009, to his odd behavior in the Syrian crisis late this summer, Obama has been apologetic and hesitant about America’s place at the international table. He clearly loathes the use of force or the projection of power. He resists placing the United States in a leadership role.
Here is where we stand today concerning major foreign-policy challenges on the eve of 2014:

  • Iran: Ever since Obama failed to side with the Iranian people when their government brutally stole an election, the president has been determined to mend fences with the most dangerous nation in the Middle East. It is a brutal dictatorship that feeds on terrorism and hatred; it has vowed to destroy the United States and Israel. Yet Obama is determined to make a deal that is sure to create a nuclear-armed Iran. This will assure that force will never be used against Iran. The West will retreat into the defensive posture of containment.
  • Iraq: After a war of liberation that stretched for nearly a decade, Obama left Iraq to its own devices. He fulfilled his campaign promise, but he will not escape the consequences of his decision to leave the nation undefended. Iraq is now in chaos with a revived civil war. Al Qaeda is back. Worst of all, Iraq is now a client state of Iran, ready to do Iran’s bidding on a regional scale.
  • Afghanistan: Obama is about to repeat the Iraq experience in Afghanistan. He is committed to withdraw before the end of 2014. Failure to reach a defense agreement with the corrupt Afghan government could leave the nation ripe for picking by the Taliban. The nation where the 9/11 plot was hatched will then be home to America’s mortal enemy.
  • Israel: No foreign-policy failure is more distressing to millions of freedom loving Americans that Obama’s destruction of the U.S.-Israeli alliance. Every president since Truman has backed the only democracy in the Middle East. From the beginning, Obama has been aggressive and hostile in his confrontation with Israel. He clearly favors the Palestinians, who remain committed to the destruction of Israel. If Obama allows Iran to gain the capacity to build nuclear weapons, it will be the last straw for Israel.
  • Syria: Obama could have been effective in combating the brutal Assad regime had he acted two years ago, but he hesitated and now the insurgents are doomed. Al Qaeda is flourishing. Russia stepped in and humiliated the president by taking the lead against Assad’s use of chemical weapons. Now the United States has no influence in the conflict. With Assad likely to survive, Syria will go forward as another of Iran’s client states. The unspeakable human toll of dead and homeless in Syria will be chalked up by the Obama administration as the cost of nonintervention.
  • Russia: Vladimir Putin won the race against Obama for world influence this year, but the president does not seem to care. The Russian leader’s dream of a resurgent Russia on the world stage appears to be within his grasp. For months, Putin defied the West as he sided with Assad in Syria. Then, when the chemical weapons crisis broke, Putin rode to Obama’s rescue. Now the Russian leader acts with impunity, most recently by taming the cries for freedom in Ukraine. Obama says nothing.
  • China: Unafraid of U.S. power, China continues its long march towards domination in the Pacific. China never misses a chance to challenge either its neighbors or the West. It picks a fight with Japan over seemingly insignificant islands. It continues the ludicrous squabble with Taiwan. All the while, China works to build its navy and drive the United States from the Pacific. China and the United States are major trading partners with significant economic ties. Nevertheless, there are serious hostilities below the surface.
This is not a good record for five years of foreign-policy stewardship. With three years to go, Americans can only hope that the negative consequences of three more years of Obama at the foreign-policy helm be minimal. It is not a sure thing.
