Muslim Extremists in London Threaten to Lash Shop Owners for Selling Alcohol

London has experienced significant problems recently with people attempting to enforce Sharia law to non-Muslims. Yesterday, over 60 people protested in London's East End, threatening to give 40 lashes to any shopkeeper that sold alcohol.
Forty lashes is the punishment for the consumption of alcoholic beverages under Sharia Law.
Protestors warned shop keepers that a punishment of 40 lashes is "just the beginning." The leader of the protestors, Anjem Choudary, was the founder of a group that is now banned in the UK for terrorism connections.
Other British Muslims condemned the protests, saying it was against Sharia Law to enforce its rules upon those who do not want to comply.

“In Islamic teaching, you shouldn’t drink alcohol but you can’t impose Islamic law on other people,” said Usama Hasan, senior researcher at the London-based Quilliam Foundation, whose goal is to challenge extremism and promote pluralism.

New York City confiscating rifles and shotguns

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is sending out letters telling gun owners to turn over their rifles and shotguns — or else face the consequences.
New York City’s ban on rifles and shotguns that hold more than five rounds is now being enforced, according to a letter the NYPD is sending out to targeted city gun owners.
“It appears you are in possession of a rifle and/or Shotgun (listed below) that has an ammunition feeding device capable of holding more than five (5) rounds of ammunition. Rifles and shotguns capable of holding more than five (5) rounds of ammunition are unlawful to possess in New York City, as per NYC Administrative Code 10-306 (b).”

Goodbye free speech: Oregon bans criticism of Obamacare exchange

On Monday, the Daily Caller reported that in order to do business with Cover Oregon, so-called "community partners" must sign a far-reaching agreement that essentially forbids them from criticizing the state's Obamacare exchange.
Legal expert Bruce McCain told talk show host Lars Larson that organizations could lose all of their grant money if state officials determine they disagree with the troubled exchange.
McCain went so far as to compare it to the IRS targeting conservative groups, saying it amounts to “the weight and full effect of the government using its power of the purse to coerce private entities."
"It’s a chilling effect on speech,” he added.

Invasive: Obamacare Exchange ‘Mistakenly Debiting Bank Accounts’

(KGW) - For the second week in a row, the Washington Healthplanfinder website is down, and it’s causing problems for people who are dealing with billing issues. Some of them say the website is mistakenly debiting their accounts.
Shannon Bruner of Indianola logged on to her checking account Monday morning, and found she was almost 800 dollars in the negative.
“The first thing I thought was, ‘I got screwed,’” she said.
The Bruners enrolled for insurance on the Washington Healthplanfinder website, last October. They say they selected the bill pay date to be December 24th. Instead the Washington Healthplanfinder drafted the 835 dollar premium Monday.
Josh Bruner started his own business this year as an engineering recruiter. They said it’s forced them to pay a lot of attention to their bills and their bank accounts.
“Big knot in my gut because we’re trying to keep it together,” said Shannon Bruner. “It’s important to me that this kind of stuff doesn’t happen.”
They’re not alone.
One viewer emailed KING 5 saying, “They drafted my account this morning for a second time.”
Another woman on Facebook with a similar problem commented, “We are all in the same boat.”

The facts about the CO high school shooting the mainstream media doesn’t want you to know

On Friday, 18-year-old Karl Halverson Pierson shot one student before killing himself at Arapahoe High School in suburban Denver. The media coverage of this incident has been unusual at best. Very little has been uncovered about the shooter other than the fact that he had been asked to leave the debate team and was targeting the teacher who ran the club.
As it turns out, Pierson had leftist views, and many of his classmates have described him as socialist (even if the Denver Post edited that tidbit out of its profile). The whole ordeal lasted just 80 seconds – not simply because Pierson took his own life, but because he was met by an armed guard at the school. Finally, the young man was not armed with so-called ‘assault weapons’. Instead, he reportedly carried two molotov cocktails and a shotgun. You may remember Vice President Joe Biden encouraging Americans to invest in a shotgun because it’s all you really need to defend yourself.
So why is the mainstream media not reporting any of this information? The answer is simple: It doesn’t fit the narrative. On Monday’s Glenn Beck Program, Glenn presented little-reported facts about the gunman and his motives that you probably haven’t heard from many other news sources.

High School Senior Suspended for Year After Hugging Teacher

A high school senior won’t graduate on time after being suspended for one year for hugging a teacher.
CBS Affiliate WGCL reports that a hearing officer at Duluth High School found that the boy violated the Gwinnett County Public Schools’ rules on sexual harassment.

Surveillance camera video captured Sam McNair, 17, entering a room, placing his arms around the back and front of the teacher and tucking his head behind her neck.

The teacher alleged in a discipline report that McNair’s cheeks and lips touched the back of her neck and cheek, according to WGCL.

The 17-year-old denied he sexually harassed his teacher or that he kissed her. He said he has hugged his teachers many times before, including this one, and has never been warned about doing so. WGCL reports McNair has previous suspensions, but none for sexual harassment.Surveillance camera video captured Sam McNair, 17, entering a room, placing his arms around the back and front of the teacher and tucking his head behind her neck. The teacher alleged in a discipline report that McNair’s cheeks and lips touched the back of her neck and cheek, according to WGCL.

Schumer: Veterans Should Take a Pay Cut But Congress Should Not

Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) believes that it’s time that US military veterans do their part for America by taking a cut to their retirement benefits. Members of Congress, however, should take no such cuts. According to the rather despicable gun-control advocating Senator Schumer, the government officials have sacrificed enough.Civilian federal employees have been cut, cut, cut. I think there was a feeling, if you’re going to cut them further, which was done, that the military retirees should have about an equal amount. It’s small,” the New York Democrat told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.“I think (Rep.) Paul Ryan and (Sen.) Patty Murray looked everywhere they could to try and find compromise. Everybody had to take a little,” Schumer said.“They’re going to have to pay a tiny, little bit into it, which they never have,” he added. But Schumer maintained members of Congress should not be forced to take a pay cut. He said they have already sacrificed, since they have not seen a pay raise “in a long time,” and explained most of them are paying more for healthcare insurance.“We have taken pretty big cuts,” he said. Valerie Plame lied to Congress and Chairman Henry Waxman knew it

On March 16, 2007 while testifying to the Congressional Oversight Committee, Valerie Plame lied under oath. And Chairman Henry Waxman was fully aware of the act of perjury being committed by Plame.
Long before Congressman Waxman heard sworn testimony from Valerie Plame at a House Oversight Committee hearing, Congressman Waxman was briefed by former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds.
In addition to being briefed by Edmonds.

Congressman Waxman was provided Inspector General Glenn Fine's classified report that contained the fact that Valerie Plame's identity as a CIA operative was exposed in 2001 when Undersecretary of State Marc Grossman was secretly recorded warning Turkish nationals to stay away from Brewster Jennings & Associates because it was a CIA front.
And as Chairman Waxman was well aware, Brewster Jennings & Associates was the CIA front that Plame claims gave her covert status.

"Wastebook" report singles out $30B in federal spending

One million dollars to build a bus stop in Virginia. Five million for customized crystal stemware. Those are just some of the items paid for by the federal government last year. A new report out Tuesday by a prominent Republican senator, called the "Wastebook," details $30 billion in questionable spending.
The annual, lengthy account features 100 examples of federal costs.
Some of the numbers are staggering, such as the $7 billion worth of U.S. military equipment being destroyed as U.S. troops pull out of Afghanistan, or the nearly $1.5 billion to keep the lights on in unused or underutilized federal buildings.
Then there's spending that just seems silly, such as a nearly $1 million grant for something called the "Popular Romance Project" -- a website and documentary that celebrates romantic movies, books and pop songs.
The list goes on: $2 million to renovate a rarely-visited Civil War grist mill in Virginia, and $3 million for NASA employees to attend seminars on how Congress works.
The "Wastebook" is the work of Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., a longtime deficit hawk. He said to CBS News' Nancy Cordes in a recent interview, "Where was the adult in the room when this was going on? … (The report is) a compilation of about $30 billion of stupidity, incompetence, and waste."
By comparison, the compromise budget Congress struck last week cuts the deficit by just $23 billion over 10 years.
Congress has banned "earmarks," those pork barrel special interest projects that were used to grease palms in Washington. But other types of waste have proved tougher to tackle, such as the $3.6 billion in unpaid income taxes from federal employees and retirees -- or the $400 million paid to government workers to do nothing during the government shutdown.

Gingrich: This is baloney! Every major poverty-stricken city is run by Democrats

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich pointed out something Sunday that many Democrats won’t admit – that every major poverty-stricken city is run by Democrats.
ABC’s Jonathan Karl, sitting in as host of “This Week,” asked if Republicans should be talking about income inequality and referred to the homeless problem in New York City.
“Absolutely,” Gingrich said. “And without talking about government, say, surely a society that cared, that believed every person was endowed by their creator with the right to pursue happiness, would come up with a better solution than 22,000 children that are homeless.”
Republicans have to rethink their indifference to the poor, Gingrich said, but Democrats have to ask themselves why the war on poverty hasn’t worked over the past 50 years.
Former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich attempted to place blame on Republicans for not passing jobs bills, supporting low-income housing or providing better opportunities.
Gingrich responded with a resounding, “This is baloney.”
“Every major city which is a center of poverty is run by Democrats,” he said. “Every major city. Their policies have failed, they’re not willing to admit it and the fact is it’s the poor who suffer.”

Palin: Disloyal, Corrupt GOP Establishment Colluding with Obama

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin may have taken another step toward seeking the 2016 Republican Presidential nomination with a combative op-ed on Breitbart.

Recalling that she had once beaten crooked Republican politicians in Alaska – who'd brazenly tagged themselves "the Corrupt Bastards Club" – Palin rhetorically asked: "Doesn't it seem like [today] we have a Corrupt Bastards Club in D.C.? On steroids?"

Disloyal Republicans are enabling President Barack Obama to march the country toward socialism while denouncing Sens. Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and tea party-aligned House members who have been trying to defund Obamacare, Palin charged.

Establishment GOP politicians failed to use the power of the purse to halt Obamacare's implementation. Instead, "they balked, waved the white flag, and joined the lapdog media in trashing the good guys who fought for us," Palin wrote.

She challenged the Republican establishment to unite behind conservative grassroots efforts to block Obamacare before it is too late.

She warned that Obamacare is part of a phased plan toward socialized medicine and raised the prospect that the system's much-lamented computer glitches could be part of a purposeful scheme to accelerate that process.
