Canada’s intelligence service asked foreign agencies to spy on Canadians

Canada’s intelligence agency deliberately kept the country’s Federal Court “in the dark” to bypass the law in order to outsource its spying on Canadian citizens abroad to foreign security agencies, a federal judge said. Federal Court Judge, Richard Mosley, has slammed the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) for knowingly misleading him on numerous occasions.

Since 2009, Mosley has issued a large number of warrants to the CSIS, authorizing interception of electronic communications of unidentified Canadians abroad, who were investigated as threats to domestic security.

The spy agency assured the judge that the surveillance was to be carried out from inside Canada and controlled by and the Communication Security Establishment of Canada (CSEC), the country’s foreign signals intelligence service.

But, after the warrants were obtained, Canada’s foreign partners from the Five Eyes intelligence-gathering alliance (US, UK, Australia and New Zealand) were asked to perform the interceptions.

Canada’s Federal Court wasn’t notified of the foreign involvement and never approved it, Mosley wrote in a redacted version of a classified court decision which was made public on Friday.

Excerpted from WND: The lead investigator in Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse investigation of President Obama’s birth certificate says the case has taken a startling turn, and sheriff’s investigators now are assisting the Cold Case volunteers.
“When this information is finally exposed to the public, it will be universe-shattering,” Mike Zullo told WND. “This is beyond the pale of anything you can imagine.”
Zullo explained that because it’s an active investigation that could produce criminal charges, he’s unable to reveal details at the moment.
But the allegations, he said, which go far beyond a fraudulent birth certificate, could be public as early as March.
The issue arose once again because of the death Wednesday in Hawaii of state Health Department chief Loretta Fuddy in a plane crash. She was the official who waived state prohibitions and provided to the White House a copy of a document that Obama presented to the public as his birth certificate.
It’s the document that Arpaio’s investigators have concluded is fraudulent.
Arpaio assigned his Cold Case Posse to look into the issue before the 2012 election, when constituents approached him and asked him to check whether Obama would be an ineligible candidate on the presidential election ballot.
In a recent radio interview with Gallups, Zullo affirmed the investigation had been expanded to the county sheriff’s office and was “moving in a direction that was not anticipated by us.”
“The whole [issue] is more nefarious than you can imagine,” Zullo said, crediting Arpaio for ordering the investigation and sticking with it. Read the whole thing

Vial of deadly virus goes missing from Texas lab

GALVESTON, Texas Officials say a vial containing a virus that can cause hemorrhagic fever has gone missing from a research facility in Galveston, but say there's no reason to believe there's a threat to the public.
The University of Texas Medical Branch said Saturday that there was no breach in the security its Galveston National Laboratory and no indication of wrongdoing. Officials suspect the missing vial containing the Guanarito virus was destroyed during the lab's cleaning process but the investigation continues.
The medical branch says the virus, native to Venezuela, is transmitted only through contact with Venezuelan rats. It is not believed to be able to survive in U.S. rodents or to be transmitted person-to-person.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was immediately notified after the vial was discovered missing Wednesday.

By now, I think that all America understands that Obama is an habitual liar. He will say and do anything to push his liberal political agenda. We have seen this repeatedly, such as when he promised that Americans can ‘keep your plan’ when he knows that was false.
Ever since Obama wrote his so-called biography, “Dreams From My Father,” his half-brother has had a hard time dealing with all the lies and falsehoods Obama wrote. Obama’s book was written to paint Obama in a favorable light and make him more palatable to the American people. Now we have the ‘other’ Obama, Mark Ndesandjo, about to release a tell-all book to set the record straight.
Both Barrack Obama and Mark Ndesandjo have the same black father, but share different white American mothers. Ndesandjo recounts that despite having the same father, the two brothers did not have much interaction and when they did get together, things were strained, with neither of them seeing eye-to-eye. Look for the book, “Cultures: My Odyssey of Self-Discovery,” to be released in February.
Ndesandjo recounts one such encounter with Barrack: “Barrack thought I was too white and I thought he was too black…he was an American searching for his African roots, I was a Kenyan, I’m an American but I was living in Kenya, searching for my white roots.”

In two separate criminal complaints, Egyptian lawmakers have charged Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton with conspiring with the Muslim Brotherhood.
According to one of the criminal charges,  Hillary Clinton was found to be working with ousted Muslim Brotherhood president Mohammed Morsi’s wife, Naglaa Mahmood, in attempting to overthrow the current leader of Egypt, General Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi.

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration moved late Friday to prevent a federal judge in California from ruling on the constitutionality of warrantless surveillance programs authorized during the Bush administration, telling a court that recent disclosures about National Security Agency spying were not enough to undermine its claim that litigating the case would jeopardize state secrets.
In a set of filings in the two long-running cases in the Northern District of California, the government acknowledged for the first time that the N.S.A. started systematically collecting data about Americans’ emails and phone calls in 2001, alongside its program of wiretapping certain calls without warrants. The government had long argued that disclosure of these and other secrets would put the country at risk if they came out in court.
But the government said that despite recent leaks by Edward J. Snowden, the former N.S.A. contractor, that made public a fuller scope of the surveillance and data collection programs put in place after the Sept. 11 attacks, sensitive secrets remained at risk in any courtroom discussion of their details — like whether the plaintiffs were targets of intelligence collection or whether particular telecommunications providers like AT&T and Verizon had helped the agency.

Michigan school board unanimously votes to restore ‘In God We Trust’ motto to school sign

LEROY, Mich. – A school board in Michigan has voted unanimously to restore the motto ‘In God We Trust’ to a sign at a local elementary school after it was covered up following complaints.

The Pine River School Board approved the restoration on Monday after hearing comments from both sides of the issue.

Due to budget cuts, the district had to consolidate its elementary schools earlier this year, so it decided to have a sign created to reflect the new changes.  A 1940′s graduate of the school created the design, which was not reviewed in advance by the district.

Therefore, when some from the community saw that the new Pine River Elementary School sign had the phrase “In God We Trust” in the corner, they complained to the school board.

Superintendent Jim Ganger noted that the artist that created the sign regularly places the motto in his artwork, and said that he did not view its inclusion as the endorsement of any particular religion.

“He didn’t do it to promote or inhibit religion in any way,” Ganger told  UpNorth Live. “It’s just part of his work. It was totally innocent.”

Nonetheless, the board decided to discuss the matter with its attorney, who suggested that the motto be covered.

However, when those who support the phrase learned that it had been covered, they likewise complained to the board—and even more so.
