Michelle Obama: Immigrants Just Like Founding Fathers, Not 'Born American'

First Lady Michelle Obama reminded attendees of a naturalization ceremony Wednesday that the Founding Fathers weren’t born in America.

The ceremony for 50 new U.S. citizens was held at the National Archives in Washington, D.C.
“It’s amazing that just a few feet from here where I’m standing are the signatures of the 56 Founders who put their names on a Declaration that changed the course of history,” she said during her speech, referring to the Declaration of Independence. “And like the 50 of you, none of them were born American – they became American.”
Obama pointed out that the Founding Fathers pledged their lives and risked everything to create the United States of America after signing the Declaration of Independence.
“Just like you’re about to pledge allegiance to our flag, they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to this extraordinary idea that we now know as America – the notion that we are all created equal, endowed with fundamental rights and freedoms that no one can ever take away from us,” she said.
 
The First Lady explained that the Founding Fathers were “Americans-by-choice” just like the newly declared citizens.
“As the newest 'Americans-by-choice,' you, too, will play an important part in shaping our history,” she continued.
 
Immigrants, she explained, were essential to the continued growth of the United States.
“I know this is an exciting, hopeful time for all of you, but it’s also an exciting, hopeful time for our country,” she said. “Because the fact is, America needs you.”
Obama also reminded the new citizens of their importance to the historic character that immigrants brought to the country.
 
“Immigration is at the heart of how we developed as a nation,” she said. “In every generation, immigrants have earned their place as part of 'We the People.'”

Is Kerry the most useless secretary of state in living memory?

Incompetence hurts any organization. But it is especially disastrous when it overcomes an American president and most of his Cabinet. Yes, “incompetence” is the right way to describe President Obama’s administration. Programs and policies are not working, and damning evidence is piling up against Secretary of State John Kerry as the most ineffective of all.

There is not much that Kerry has gotten right in the year and a half he has held his Cabinet position, starting with his Senate testimony in April 2013 that elections in Iran are not “much different than elections in the U.S.”
In September, a New York Sun editorial, “Time for Kerry to Resign,” said Kerry wanted to see Syria “let off the hook for gassing its own people.”  The Sun made the point that Kerry is now in a job where “there isn’t any room for blundering.” His bungling also forfeited whatever diplomatic leverage Obama had in trying to prohibit Iran’s uranium enrichment. Kerry’s negotiations failed to stop Iran, and the Syria talks went nowhere.
Earlier this year, Kerry slammed skeptics of man-made climate change, calling them “flat-Earthers.” The real truth is that warming is being caused by factors that scientists don’t understand, and there is no “consensus science.” The science is not settled, and the Kerry/Obama man-made-warming club is not being honest.
I won’t even get into Kerry’s fool’s errand to salvage the Israeli-Arab negotiations for Middle East peace, which have gone exactly nowhere — a shining example of diplomatic futility. A stunning indictment of Kerry’s judgment came with his suggestion that Israel is becoming an “apartheid state.”

Ben Carson: Kick Out “Spineless” Congressmen Who Won’t Stop Obama

As Obama keeps driving our country further and further down the road to disaster, many are asking: Why hasn’t he been impeached already? Sarah Palin says that if Congress had the “guts,” he’d already be gone.
Fox News commentator  and analyst Charles Krauthammer says that Obama has committed a “high crime” [in the IRS scandal] and must be impeached for it. But it’s not just the IRS scandal we’re upset about. It’s everything this President has done – from allowing Iraq to crumble to allowing illegal children to cross the border to the illegal prisoner swap from Guantanamo Bay.
And while Representative Lou Barletta says the House has enough votes for impeachment, it’s not happening fast enough. So Ben Carson says it’s time to kick out the “spineless” Congressmen who refuse to step up and do their constitutional duty to stop this lawless President.

 Carson: It has been. Unfortunately, Congress, which has the power to stop a runaway administration because they control the purse strings, is afraid, they’re just spineless and they’re say we’ll just get blamed. Well, I’ve got a news flash for them. They’re going to get blamed anyway. You need to stop this madness, and that takes courage to do that. I think that’s one of the reasons Eric Cantor lost its position.

 People are finally saying, “You guys aren’t going to stop it, so we the people are going to stop it. We’re not going to stand for politicians that say they’re conservative yet raise the debt ceiling and threatening the prosperity of our nation and the future.”
Ben Carson is right. It’s time for our elected representatives to stop being too terrified to stand up to this administration and do whatever it takes to remove Barack Obama from office. If they don’t get him out soon, who knows what he could do to our country next.

Obama Administration Plans to Release Gitmo Terrorists If They Agree to ‘Job Training’

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that the United Nations is openly negotiating with the Obama administration to release Guantanamo Bay prisoners on the condition that they take some “counseling” and some “job training.”
President Obama has never shied away from his opposition to the facility, but to consider freeing prisoners who practice “peaceful Islam” would be a sheer act of lunacy.
Prisoners who completed the program would be relocated to…Yemen, a known terrorist haven that has one of the highest “remission” rates for ex-Gitmo prisoners (over 100 returned to al-Qaida). The talks have been unclear if the facility in Yemen would serve as a prison or “halfway house”, either of which will be extremely unsecured when compared to the Guantanamo base.
This isn’t the first time the government has tried terrorist rehabilitation programs, with the last graduate from a Saudi Arabian program going on to plan the 2008 U.S. Embassy bombing in Yemen.

“In fact, many of the Gitmo captives already released to Yemen have resumed their jihadist training, according intelligence reports,” Judicial Watch reported Nov. 8.

Many members in the counter-terrorism community question the programs ability to effectively rehab prisoners.

“I don’t think [it] should exist unless it’s an actual rehabilitation program,” said Andrea Prasow, senior counter-terrorism counsel, according to the Times. “There’s no way I would find it acceptable for [returned Yemeni detainees] to be held against their will.”

“They say Republicans in Congress, many of whom oppose closing Guantanamo, will not appropriate money to build a separate facility in Yemen. Nor is it possible to guarantee that the prison meets U.S. standards without American personnel there, which officials rule out.”

Guantanamo Bay has received a lot of criticism since it’s inception, and most of it isn’t warranted. Foreign leaders and Dems are quick to forget that when Gitmo came close to closing down, no one agreed to house the remaining prisoners. National security agencies across the globe were in consensus that these terrorists posed a clear and present threat and advised world leaders to avoid placing them in their prisons.
President Obama could jeopardize the safety of the United States if he allows this plan to go through. Terrorists have shown repeatedly that they are willing to sacrifice their own lives in order to harm democracy and the Western World. Why wouldn’t they agree to “job training”? That was never the problem to begin with.

2. She got into an argument with a liberal NPR reporter about her flip flop on gay marriage. Didn’t see that coming.

3. She insists on doubling down on her denial that it doesn’t make a difference what actually happened on the ground in Benghazi, even though four Americans were murdered on her watch. This was the 3AM call she said she’d be ready for if elected President…she wasn’t ready.

4. She thinks the American political system is the most “difficult” and “brutal” in the world. That’s right…more brutal than North Korea. And Syria. And Russia. And Iran. And…

5. Her new book “Hard Choices” hasn’t performed all that well.

Iran Supreme Leader: The Shiite Islamic Messiah Is Coming To Free The World

Iran's supreme leader is promising a world free of infidels and nonbelievers with the coming of the Islamic messiah, Mahdi, a 9^th-century descendant of the prophet Mohammad whom the Shiites refer to as the 12^th Imam.
"The coming of Imam Zaman [Mahdi] is the definite promise by Allah," Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in a speech Wednesday on the anniversary of Mahdi's birthday at an exhibition of research and historical documents on the 12^th Imam.
Khamenei said one of Allah's promises was that an Islamic revolution would come to Iran. "Who would have thought that in this sensitive region and in this important country, with a regime [run by Shah Pahlavi] and supported by the international powers, a revolution based on religion and Sharia [law] would take place?" Khamenei asked.
The Shiite clerical establishment ruling Iran believes that Iran's 1979 revolution was a precursor to the coming of Mahdi, during which all infidels will be killed and the flag of Islam will be raised in all four corners of the world.
"The caravan of humanity from the day of creation has been moving through the windings of the hard maze [of life] ... to reach an open path, [and] this open path is that of the time of the coming of Imam Mahdi," he said. "The awaiting for the coming is a hopeful and powerful wait, providing the biggest opening for the Islamic society."
The supreme leader's representative in the Revolutionary Guards, Ali Saeedi, in a meeting with Guard commanders on Friday, said the coming of Imam Mahdi cannot take place under the current circumstances, and in order for that to happen the Middle East needs to witness major changes. To create those changes, there is a need for "regional preparedness" and that the Islamic revolution in Iran "without a doubt will be connected to the worldwide revolution of Imam Mahdi."
The secret documentary "The Coming Is Upon Us," produced by the regime for the preparedness of its forces, Hezbollah and other Shiite jihadists and revealed in 2011, covers the centuries-old hadiths by Mohammad and his descendants in providing a timeline of events and what needs to happen for the coming of Mahdi.

However this D.C. drama plays out, the N.Y. Post is noting behind-the-scenes theatrics and instances of flat out backbiting that at times has aspired to Shakespearean proportions.
Aptly named "Blood Feud," Klein's released-this-week tell all book chronicles example upon example of Bill and Hillary Clinton quite simply have a very, very low opinion of Barack and Michelle Obama. Obversely, for those who consider themselves hard core Obama backers, they can rest assured that the feeling is more than mutual.
With the Donkey Party not yet descending into an all-out civil war, the real and palpable dislike the former and current First Couples have for each other has survived the 2008 and 2012 White House runs. As The New York Times reported at the time, Bill angrily accused Barack of a "hit job" during the South Carolina primary, accusing his fellow politico of feeding to the media that he was promoting racism.

Hillary Clinton Attempts To Distance Herself From The 'Truly Well Off'

As speculation surrounding a potential 2016 presidential bid by Hillary Clinton heightens amid the former secretary of state's book tour, questions about Clinton's personal wealth have been on the rise.
Clinton once again downplayed her wealth in an interview published in The Guardian on Saturday, saying voters don't see it as a blow to her credibility on issues such as economic inequality.
"But they don't see me as part of the problem," she told The Guardian, "because we pay ordinary income tax, unlike a lot of people who are truly well off, not to name names; and we've done it through dint of hard work."
Clinton discussed her financial status earlier in June during an interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer, telling the host she and former President Bill Clinton were "dead broke" upon leaving the White House.
“We came out of the White House not only dead broke, but in debt," Clinton said at the time. “We had no money when we got there and we struggled to, you know, piece together the resources for mortgages, for houses, for Chelsea’s education. You know, it was not easy.”
Critics point to speaking engagements, book deals and exorbitant expenses in an effort to call Clinton out for her comments, claiming she is "tone deaf" and "out of touch."

Eurozone recovery losing momentum, PMI survey suggests

The Markit Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for private sector activity, fell to 52.8 in June from 53.5 in May. A figure above 50 indicates growth.
Overall, the signs point to a recovery in the eurozone "losing momentum", research firm Markit said.
It said growth was uneven, with "robust" activity in Germany but a worsening downturn in France.
"The big concern is once again the divergent trends within the eurozone," said Markit chief economist Chris Williamson.
Germany's economy is set to grow by 0.7% in the second quarter, in marked contrast to France, where an economic slowdown continues, Markit said.
"Although the survey suggests the eurozone as a whole should grow by at least 0.4% in the second quarter, France appears to be entering a renewed downturn after GDP stagnated in the first quarter," said Mr Williamson
Businesses continued to cut prices to boost sales in June, but were squeezed by factors such as rising oil prices, the survey found.
However, manufacturing and services output rose for the 12th month running.
Rising orders in the services sector may also help to revive growth in the eurozone, Mr Williamson added.
The rate of economic recovery in the eurozone has been a concern for the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which last week said that the recovery had not been strong enough.
At the beginning of June, the European Central Bank introduced a raft of measures aimed at stimulating the eurozone economy, including negative interest rates and cheap long-term loans to banks.
