Iranian leader celebrates: U.S. has 'given up'

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei took to the stage last week to proclaim the U.S. has “given up” on using military force to stop its ambitions and to boast that a worldwide “Islamic Awakening” cannot be stopped.

Speaking on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the death of his predecessor, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic who died in 1989, Khamenei issued his first public reaction since U.S. President Barack Obama asserted in a foreign policy speech at West Point that his diplomatic relations with Iran were proving more effective than the threat of military action.
Obama had said that a U.S.-led international coalition has afforded “an opportunity to resolve our differences peacefully” with Iran and, “For the first time in a decade, we have a very real chance of achieving a breakthrough agreement – one that is more effective and durable than what would be achieved through the use of force.”
Khamenei, however, took away a very different conclusion from the negotiation table.
Speaking from a stage decorated with a banner proclaiming “America cannot do a d— thing,” according to a New York Times Report, Khamenei proclaimed on June 4 the U.S. has “given up” on military action.
“They have renounced the idea of any military actions,” the leader said. “They have understood that in Afghanistan and Iraq, after a military invasion, they were harmed. Therefore, it can be said that they have given up on the military attack.

More Guantanamo Prisoners Set to Leave Amid Trade Furor

Some of the men held here for more than a decade have been drafting plans for work and marriage on the outside or studying languages, preparing for a not-too-distant future beyond the coiled razor wire that surrounds the U.S. prison perched at the edge of the Caribbean Sea.
Until the past week, they had good reason to believe their ticket out might be imminent, if not home then at least to another country. President Barack Obama and others in the administration say they are committed to closing the Guantanamo detention center and military officials say they can resume transfers at a moment's notice, just as they did with the May 31 swap of five Guantanamo inmates for a captured American soldier.
"All I need is the names and a country and we could do it all very, very efficiently," the commander of U.S. Southern Command, Marine Gen. John F. Kelly, said in an interview Saturday at the start of a visit to the base he oversees.

But the current furor over the trade of the five Taliban prisoners for American Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl may have complicated the situation.
The deal to swap Bergdahl, who was held by the Taliban for five years in Afghanistan, was brokered by the Obama White House without consulting Congress. Both Republican and Democratic lawmakers who initially praised Bergdahl's release have since backed off amid an outcry over the exchange, including questions about whether he walked away from his post before he was captured.
Congress plans hearings on the exchange for the five prisoners, who officials here say were leaders inside the detention center as well as in the Taliban. Any immediate transfers of other inmates are likely to further inflame members of Congress, much to the dismay of attorneys for some of the 71 prisoners awaiting transfer after a security review.  Before anyone can be released, the Obama administration must obtain security and humane treatment assurances with the home country or repatriation agreements for third countries, a time-consuming process even before the required 30-day notice to Congress, which eased the restrictions on transfers last year but still bars sending any of the men to the United States.
"It's unfortunate that cleared people may well suffer because of the backlash over this," said Cori Crider, an attorney for the British legal rights group Reprieve who represents several men approved for transfer. "I hope the more sensible people in Congress — as well as the White House and the Defense Department who recognize that it's time to get this done, that it's a stain on America's image — aren't going to be bullied."
The U.S. currently holds 149 men at Guantanamo. They include five prisoners charged with planning and aiding the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack who face trial by military commission, as well as a handful of others being prosecuted. Most have been held without charge since the government began taking prisoners suspected of links to al-Qaida and the Taliban at the Navy base on the southeastern edge of Cuba in January 2002.

How the Taliban got their hands on modern US missiles

The Obama administration isn’t only giving the Taliban back its commanders — it’s giving them weapons.
Miliary records and sources reveal that on July 25, 2012, Taliban fighters in Kunar province successfully targeted a US Army CH-47 helicopter with a new generation Stinger missile.
They thought they had a surefire kill. But instead of bursting into flames, the Chinook just disappeared into the darkness as the American pilot recovered control of the aircraft and brought it to the ground in a hard landing.
The assault team jumped out the open doors and ran clear in case it exploded. Less than 30 seconds later, the Taliban gunner and his comrade erupted into flames as an American gunship overhead locked onto their position and opened fire.
The next day, an explosive ordnance disposal team arrived to pick through the wreckage and found unexploded pieces of a missile casing that could only belong to a Stinger missile.
Lodged in the right nacelle, they found one fragment that contained an entire serial number.
The investigation took time. Arms were twisted, noses put out of joint. But when the results came back, they were stunning: The Stinger tracked back to a lot that had been signed out by the CIA recently, not during the anti-Soviet ­jihad.
Reports of the Stinger reached the highest echelons of the US command in Afghanistan and became a source of intense speculation, but no action.
Everyone knew the war was winding down. Revealing that the Taliban had US-made Stingers risked demoralizing coalition troops. Because there were no coalition casualties, government officials made no public announcement of the attack.

Copyright certificate for Obama’s book was falsified

When Random House published Obama’s first memoir, Dreams From My Father, in 1994, they had to fill out a Certificate of Registration to copyright the book.

Attorney Dr. Orly Taitz obtained a copy of the Certificate of Registration forDream From My Father, and noticed something odd. As Dr. Taitz explains:

In the area [of the certificate] where one has to post the birth date of the author, Obama posted USA. Clearly, a constitutional scholar and editor of Harvard law review should  understand the meaning of the question: “what is your date of birth”. Shockingly, Obama answered USA.

So Dr. Taitz asked a typesetting expert, Paul Irey, to look at the certificate. Irey was certified as an expert by Judge Sherry Reid in an Obama eligibility trial in Indiana.

In an email to Dr. Taitz, Irey confirmed that:

• The typesetting for the word “USA” is different from the rest and it was done using a manual typewriter which was not in use by professional publishing houses in 1994.
• The word “USA” was typed in two other places on the certificate by two different typewriters because of the different font sizes.
• Irey also speculated that the certificate was “remade” because the country of birth was Kenya in the original “real” certificate. In other words, a forged form was created to replace the original Certificate of Registration.

Indiana couple who killed Las Vegas police also had plans to attack courts

A couple who ambushed and killed two police officers and another man on Sunday may have been planning a larger attack on a public building in Las Vegas.
The next-door neighbor and friend of Jerad and Amanda Miller was holding documents for for the couple that included detailed plans to take over a Las Vegas courthouse and execute public officials.
The file box full of documents, along with three empty rifle cases and an empty box for handcuffs, were confiscated by investigators during a search of Kelley Fielder’s apartment at 110 South Bruce.
Fielder lived next door to the Millers and called them her “best friends.” She said she didn’t know they were “that crazy.”
The Millers simultaneously executed two Las Vegas police officers Sunday, according to a police official with knowledge of the investigation into the rampage that left two officers and a citizen dead, and the suicides of the Millers.
Officers Alyn Beck, 41, and Igor Soldo, 31, were in their seats at CiCi’s Pizza, 309 N. Nellis Blvd., at about 11:20 a.m. Sunday when suspects, identified by sources as Jerad Miller, 31, and his wife Amanda, age unknown, entered the rear of the restaurant.
The police official said neither officer had a chance to return fire, an account that differs from Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie’s statements in the immediate hours following the shooting.
Jerad Miller then covered the officers with the Gadsden flag, a yellow banner with a coiled snake above the words, “Don’t tread on Me,” and placed a manifesto with a swastika symbol on one officer’s body.
The flag is named for Christopher Gadsden a Revolutionary War general who designed it. It has recently come back in vogue as an adopted symbol of the American tea party movement.
The couple had left their Bruce Street apartment about 4:30 a.m., telling neighbors they planned to murder cops, the official said.
“He knew he wasn’t going to survive that day,” the official said. “Cops were going to die, and he was going to die.”
After the shooting, the couple headed toward a nearby Wal-Mart, where Jerad Miller was confronted by Joseph Robert Wilcox, 31, of Las Vegas. Wilcox was legally carrying a concealed pistol. Wilcox was unaware that Amanda Miller, who was pushing a shopping cart, was involved in the incident and “lying in wait,” the official said.
She slipped behind Wilcox and shot him at close range.
“He had no idea the wife was walking behind him,” the police official said of the murdered man. “This guy (Wilcox) was not some idiot with a gun. To me, he was a hero. He was trying to stop an active shooter.”
It wasn’t immediately clear if Wilcox fired a shot, or if he hit Jerad Miller before he died.

Antarctic sea ice hit 35-year record high Saturday

Antarctic sea ice has grown to a record large extent for a second straight year, baffling scientists seeking to understand why this ice is expanding rather than shrinking in a warming world.
On Saturday, the ice extent reached 19.51 million square kilometers, according to data posted on the National Snow and Ice Data Center Web site.  That number bested record high levels set earlier this month and in 2012 (of 19.48 million square kilometers). Records date back to October 1978.
The increasing ice is especially perplexing since the water beneath the ice has warmed, not cooled.
“The overwhelming evidence is that the Southern Ocean is warming,” said Jinlun Zhang, a University of Washington scientist, studying Antarctic ice. “Why would sea ice be increasing? Although the rate of increase is small, it is a puzzle to scientists.”
In a new study in the Journal of Climate, Zhang finds both strengthening and converging winds around the South Pole can explain 80 percent of the increase in ice volume which has been observed.
“The polar vortex that swirls around the South Pole is not just stronger than it was when satellite records began in the 1970s, it has more convergence, meaning it shoves the sea ice together to cause ridging,” the study’s press release explains. “Stronger winds also drive ice faster, which leads to still more deformation and ridging. This creates thicker, longer-lasting ice, while exposing surrounding water and thin ice to the blistering cold winds that cause more ice growth.”

Obama Gives Muslim Nation $195,000,000 For Muslim Holiday

It’s the Muslim holiday, Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan. President Obama has decided to give $195M of taxpayer money to the Islamic nation of Syria to mark the occasion.
In an official White House release, President Obama said: “Michelle and I send our warmest greetings to Muslims celebrating Eid al-Fitr here in the United States and around the world. During the past month, Muslims have honored their faith through prayer and service, fasting and time spent with loved ones.”
Then, he gets to the best part of any holiday celebration…the gifts!
“To help the many Syrians in need this Eid al-Fitr, the United States is providing an additional $195 million in food aid and other humanitarian aid, bringing our humanitarian contribution to the Syrian people to over $1 billion since the crisis began.”
Meanwhile, the sequester continues, the White House is not conducting educational tours, and our military don’t have the necessary equipment to protect themselves.
Is this a time to celebrate with a war-torn Muslim country, or a time to be fiscally responsible?

U.S. Government to Give $313,000,000 to Muslims for Home Mortgages

According to the GAO, Obama’s administration will be handing over more than $300 million tax dollars to Muslims to help pay their mortgages. $110 million of this money will be used as loans for businesses located in the West Bank.
The name of the group in charge of this is called the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. According to their website, ““OPIC provides financial products, such as loans and guaranties; political risk insurance; and support for investment funds, all of which help American businesses expand into emerging markets.”
The OPIC is partnering with a group created by the Palestinian Authority president. The GAO notes , ” PIF is governed by a board of directors and a general assembly appointed by the Palestinian Authority President, and manages investments throughout a number of sectors…”
They claim this will help emerging U.S business in the middle east. Though, some argue this money will be going to terrorist linked groups and businesses.
The OPIC claims all groups who will manage the money have been vetted to make sure the money isn’t going to the wrong people.

Ku Klux Klan planning to train members in armed combat to prepare for 'race war'

A group of Ku Klux Klan members are planning military style combat training in preparation for a “race war” they believe is coming.
Members of the Loyal White Knights (LWK) faction of the racist group claim an influx of military troops returning to the US from overseas will train recruits in armed combat.
Speaking at a secret Klan rally in Parkersburg, West Virginia, one member called Sam, who was too cowardly to give his full name, told others in attendance that men, women and CHILDREN would all be taught survival techniques.
He said: “We're going to arm and train in hand-to-hand combat for the upcoming battle.
“The women might not like it but we're going to use live animals and show people how to skin deers, rabbits, and squirrels.”
The group, which is thought to be active in at least three states, said it was taking the move to prepare for a race war they claim is coming – along with the collapse of modern society.
If true, the sickening boast would be the first time the far-right group has trained members with weapons and marks a frightening change in their operation.
Shockingly the LWK also revealed it was now using social media and leaflet drops to entice impressionable youths to their twisted group.
Targeting 13-17-year-olds, members drive through neighbourhoods at night dumping bags full of leaflets on street corners.
Another member called Amanda, who is Sam’s wife, revealed the startling effects the couple’s twisted beliefs had already had on their own two young boys.

Russian companies ‘de-dollarize’ and switch to yuan, other Asian currencies

Russia will start settling more contracts in Asian currencies, especially the yuan, in order to lessen its dependence on the dollar market, and because of Western-led sanctions that could freeze funds at any moment.
“Over the last few weeks there has been a significant interest in the market from large Russian corporations to start using various products in renminbi and other Asian currencies, and to set up accounts in Asian locations,” Pavel Teplukhin, head of Deutsche Bank in Russia, told the Financial Times, which was published in an article on Sunday.
Diversifying trade accounts from dollars to the Chinese yuan and other Asian currencies such as the Hong Kong dollar and Singapore dollar has been a part of Russia’s pivot towards Asian as tension with Europe and the US remain strained over Russia’s action in Ukraine.
Since Crimea voted to rejoin Russia, the US government has imposed cold-war era sanctions, which have hurt the Russian economy and have slowed lending and investment activity.
VTB, Russia’s second largest bank, intends to increase the amount of non-dollar settlements, according to the bank’s president Andrey Kostin.
In May, Russia’s biggest gas producer, Gazprom, announced it wants to start trading shares in Singapore, obtaining a listing as early as July, the company said. Just before that Russia’s state-owned gas giant inked a $400 billion gas deal with China.
“Given the amount of bilateral trade volume with China, of course, we are working on the expansion of settlement in rubles and yuan,” Kostin said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, adding this is a goal the bank has been moving towards since May. 


Judge Rules That The Government Must Respond In Regard To Obama’s Fake SSN
Well, it appears Orly Taitz is finally making small strides when it comes to her mission to reveal the truth about President Obama’s citizenship. After years of attempting to bring the truth to light, the government may be forced to address questions about the President’s Social Security Number.
Apparently, Taitz’ contention that Obama has been using the SSN of a deceased man named Harry Bounel may actually legally require a response from the government, according to Judge Hollander of Maryland.
In a recent press release, Taitz shared the following information:
Judge Hollander in Maryland gives Attorney Orly Taitz 21 days to file a second amended complaint and add allegations in regards to an improper withholding by the Social Security Administration of records of Harry Bounel, whose Social Security Number is being illegally used by Barack Obama. When Taitz filed the complaint, SSA did not respond at all. After the law suit was filed, SSA responded by fraudulently claiming that the records were not found. Taitz responded that this is a fraudulent assertion, since the records were found before and denied to another petition due to privacy concerns, however Social Security has not right to claim privacy as according to their own 120 year rule they have a duty to release the records. The judge stated that the plaintiff Taitz might be correct, however at this time she cannot rule in her favor as her original complaint was filed before SSA responded, so the judge gave Taitz an opportunity to refile a second amended complaint and add new allegations, stating the SSA responded but improperly hidden the records. This is a great development. This all but assures that the judge will order the SSA to release the SS-5, Social Security application of resident of CT, Harrison (Harry) Bounel whose CT SSN 042-68-4425 was stolen by Obama and used in Obama’s 2009 tax returns, which initially were posted on WhiteHouse.gov without proper redaction, without flattening of the file. Taitz will be very careful not to be Breitbarted or Fuddied in the next 21 days.
