Underground Stories - Weekend 062914 Pt.2

Weekend Edition Pt.2

Assemblywoman Gabriela Rosa pleads guilty to marriage fraud charges, must resign immediately

Rosa, 47, also admitted to committing bankruptcy fraud and accepting an illegal campaign contribution of $1,000 from an unnamed “representative of a foreign government.” She is expected to face between 12 and 18 months in prison under the terms of the deal. But there’s no mandatory minimum, meaning a judge could let her off with probation.

Do you take this man to be your $8,000 husband?
A Dominican-born assemblywoman said “I do” to a man she didn’t love, entering a bogus marriage just to obtain citizenship.
Gabriela Rosa, 47, pleaded guilty in Manhattan Federal Court on Friday in a deal that required the Democrat to immediately resign from the Assembly.
“I married that person and it was not a real marriage,” Rosa told Judge Denise Cote. “I falsely got married with a U.S. citizen in order for me to regularize my immigration status and become a legal alien in this country.”

Oversight Committee Report Released: Criminal Activity Abounds in VA System
Widespread criminal activity in the VA system has been charged in a report released Tuesday, June 24, by U.S. Senator Tom Coburn. The investigation was initiated by Senator Coburn over a year ago. The oversight report uncovered rape, drug dealing, theft, and murder. One incident found an egregious abuse by a “VA police chief who conspired to kidnap, rape and murder women, and children”. Another significant case was a male doctor in Kansas who was charged with performing inappropriate breast and pelvic exams on five women patients who came forward. He has since been forced to register as a sex offender.
The report also exposes gross mismanagement; lack of both accountability and transparency. VA doctors and nurses are underperforming compared to the private sector. The VA doctor sees 1,200 patients compared to the private sector primary care physician who sees about 2,300 a year.
It was also discovered that some of the staff are paid not to work; others are not even reporting for work. $20 billion was identified in waste and mismanagement. $845 million was paid out for VA medical malpractice since 2001.

Dick Durbin: Obama to 'borrow' Constitutional power to rule on immigration

If House Republicans do not act on immigration in the way Barack Obama wants soon, then the president will simply "borrow" Congress' legislative powers and unilaterally rule on the issue, bypassing Congress once again, Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., said Thursday.
"I don't know how much more time he thinks he needs, but I hope that Speaker Boehner will speak up today," Durbin said. "And if he does not, the president will borrow the power that is needed to solve the problems of immigration."
Democrats have issued an ultimatum to Republicans in the House, telling them that if they do not do Obama's bidding on immigration by the end of July, the president will simply adopt the mantle of dictator and rule on his own.
"We're at the end of the line," Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., told reporters. "We're not bluffing by setting a legislative deadline for them to act."
On Wednesday, Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., repeated his call for unilateral action when he declared immigration dead in the House and demanded Obama issue an executive order to curb deportations.
“Having been given ample time and space to craft legislation, you failed, the president now has no other choice but to act within existing law to ensure that our deportation policies are humane, that due-process rights are protected, that detention conditions are as they should be, and most importantly — that the people we are deporting are detriments to our communities, not assets to our families, economy, and society,” he said.
But the Constitution does not allow for Obama to simply "borrow" congressional power as Durbin suggests or write laws when he believes Congress is not acting as he wishes.
"The President does not 'borrow power.' He grabs it. He overreaches. He acts lawlessly. But, no, he can't borrow power like a library book," Cruz aide Amanda Carpenter tweeted.
"The White House saying it is going to 'borrow' power from Congress should send shivers down every American's spine," another person tweeted.
The Hill said Durbin's threat came a day after House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, announced legislation allowing the House to sue Obama for overstepping his Constitutional authority.

ISIS has reached the border of Saudi Arabia

A brief Saudi Royal Court statement has reflected the heightened state of alert in the entire region: The extremists have reached the border. Al-Qaeda is a stone's throw from three countries: Turkey, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. ISIS, the most extreme faction of al-Qaeda, is mobilizing its forces to face Assad’s regime and recently, Maliki’s government. ISIS has built an army of thousands of suicide bombers of different nationalities, all of whom are prepared to return to their countries and start a world war.
ISIS, the most extreme faction of al-Qaeda, is mobilizing its forces to face Assad’s regime and recently, Maliki’s government. ISIS has built an army of thousands of suicide bombers of different nationalities, all of whom are prepared to return to their countries and start a world war.
Similar to what happened in Syria, what is now happening in Iraq is a genuine revolution against a sectarian, repugnant rule. What Al-Qaeda has done is that it became involved in this revolution under many banners: ISIS, al-Nusra Front and Ahrar al-Sham. They then claimed to support the oppressed people until they took the stage with their extraordinary global capabilities. The group exploited the anger of millions of Sunni people around the world, from Indonesia to Britain, and made them cheer for its achievements. As such, ISIS today is the star of the box office, as my colleague Youssef al-Dini has described it.
In order to understand the unprecedented and rapid developments, we should be aware that we have two rivals which we cannot take sides with: Assad and Maliki’s sectarian governments on one side, and ISIS and its terrorist affiliates on the other.

Obama's Teen Friend Alleges: Introduced Himself As Foreign Student & Cocaine Funded By Prostituting w Rich White Men

Thousands go without water as Detroit cuts service for nonpayment.

It  has been six weeks since the city turned off Nicole Hill’s water. Dirty dishes are piled in the sink of her crowded kitchen, where the yellow-and-green linoleum floor is soiled and sticky. A small garbage can is filled with water from a neighbor, while a bigger one sits outside in the yard, where she hopes it will collect some rain. She’s developed an intricate recycling system of washing the dishes, cleaning the floor and flushing the toilet with the same water. ”It’s frightening, because you think this is something that only happens somewhere like Africa,” said Hill, a single mother who is studying homeland security at a local college. “But now I know what they’re going through — when I get somewhere there’s a water faucet, I drink until my stomach hurts.”

Hill is one of thousands of residents in Detroit who have had their water and sewer services turned off as part of a crackdown on customers who are behind on their bills. In April, the city set a target of cutting service to 3,000 customers a week who were more than $150 behind on their bills. In May, the water department sent out 46,000 warnings and cut off service to 4,531. The city says that cutting off water is the only way to get people to pay their bills as Detroit tries to emerge from bankruptcy — the utility is currently owed $90 million from customers, and nearly half the city's 300,000 or so accounts are past due.

But cutting off water to people already living in poverty came under criticism last week from the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, whose experts said that Detroit was violating international standards by cutting off access to water. "When there is genuine inability to pay, human rights simply forbids disconnections," Catarina de Albuquerque, the office's expert on the human right to water and sanitation, said in the communique.
"Are we the kind of people that resort to shutting water off when there are disabled people and seniors?" said Maureen Taylor, chair of the Michigan Welfare Rights Organization. "We live near the Great Lakes, we have the greatest source of fresh water on Earth, and we still can't get water here."

Bill Ayers’ Parents Put a “Foreigner” Named Barack Obama Through Harvard

Barack Obama’s political career was launched at a fundraiser held at Bill Ayers home. Yet, through the course of the last 6 years, Barack Obama has acted like Bill Ayers is nothing but a casual acquaintance.

It is understandable that Barack Obama would try to hide any ties to the infamous co-founder of the Weather Underground. Bill Ayers is bad news. However, I think most of America realizes that Bill Ayers is much more central to the Obama story than we have been told.
Obama supporters tend to think that the Ayers’ connection is either inconsequential or simply a thing of the past.
His detractors think this relationship is vital to who Obama is and to exposing his real goals for America. Many believe that Bill Ayers was, and possibly still is, Barack Obama’s mentor.
Before I get into the Ayers’ family connection, I want to play a short video interview of Larry Grathwohl. Larry was an “undercover” member of the Weather Underground. The Weather Underground was not simply a second-rate terrorist organization that set off a few bombs. The stated goal of the leadership was to take over America and subsequently kill 25 million people:

Wait Until You See What The Navy Is Building Now

The U.S. Navy has been quietly working to convert a cargo ship into a secretive operating base for America’s Special Forces. The ship is 633 feet long and will be a helicopter carrier along with having facilities to house commandos and all their gear, which even include jet skis.
In November, Military Sealift Command awarded an initial $73 million contract to the shipping giant Maersk to convert one of its ships to a “Maritime Support Vessel.” So Maersk tapped their 30,000 ton displacement ship M/V Cragside for the task.
The vessel was then sent to the Gulf of Mexico in January to get its needed modifications, and there’s plenty of fun stuff being added.
MSC is adding all the needed hardware in order to allow it to function as a floating base for up to 200 troops and their weapons. It will also house small boats, helicopters and jet skis, which both the Navy and Air Force have been using for sneaky missions along enemy coastlines.
The ship is expected to be able to sail 8,000 miles at a time at speeds up to 20 knots in seas as high as 20 feet. It’s also getting a highly-secured communications room and a weapons locker, and so the guys can keep fit while at sea it’ll have a gym.

Typical Liberal: Whoopi Goldberg Silences Guest by Spouting Racism

Liberals, particularly liberals of color, too-often turn to the race card to try and silence those with whom they disagree. From such media hacks as Toure to pompous academics like Michael Eric Dyson to B-list celebrities like Whoopi Goldberg, the right to speak freely has been increasingly endangered.

On Thursday, the Blaze’s Will Cain joined the ladies on The View to discuss the recent ridiculousness from comedian Russell Brand who compared Fox News to the murderous terrorist group ISIS. The segment turned testy as the conversation turned to society’s unwillingness to endure offense and Cain and Goldberg had a war of words.
“We elevate words to the most harmful thing in society. How dare you say something that could offend somebody How dare you say something that hurts my feelings?” Cain stated. “Why have we gone to this place where words are the worst thing in the world?”
It’s a fair point. As Voltaire once famously quipped, “I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”
Goldberg would have none of this tolerance of offensive speech and interjected, “Let me tell you why. Because we have a history of utilizing words to harm people and hurt people. And the people who have been on the other side of it, I think are at the point where they’re saying, this is not okay anymore. Cause at some point we have to all grow up.”
“And verbal abuse is sometimes worse than physical abuse,” another opined.
No- it isn’t.
The hosts began pouncing, pretending that there exists some unwritten right to remain free from insults and offense. Goldberg noted,
“What you can do is say ‘You know what, don’t use that Redskin thing anymore. I’m not comfortable with it.’ ‘Don’t say this word, cause I don’t like it.’ ‘I’m Irish, and I don’t like it…’ Any one of these groups has the absolute right to say ‘this has been harmful, this has hurt my parents, this has hurt my grandparents and don’t use it anymore or you’re gonna hear about it, or use it and don’t be surprised if people are pissed.’”
“We’ll all be out of business,” said Cain. “Everybody’s offended all the time, from the Fighting Irish, to the Redskins…”
At this point, Goldberg resorted to the all-too-typical liberal response and played the race card.
“That is spoken like a true white guy,” said Goldberg angrily.
“Maybe,” Cain said. “That’s what I am.”
“That is spoken like a true white guy,” she repeated again. “And I don’t mean it in a bad way.”

Obama approves military aid for Syrian rebels, deepening U.S. involvement in bloody civil war

President Barack Obama said use of chemical weapons by the Syrian regime against opposition forces would cross a 'red line.' Now that chemical weapons have killed between 100 and 150 in the ongoing conflict, according to White House estimates, U.S. officials are deciding how to arm the rebels without the weaponry falling into the hands of extremists

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama’s decision to authorize lethal aid to Syrian rebels marks a deepening of U.S. involvement in the two-year civil war. But U.S. officials are still grappling with what type and how much weaponry to send the opposition forces and how to ensure it stays out of the hands of extremists battling for control of Syria.
U.S. officials confirmed Obama’s authorization Thursday after the White House announced it had conclusive evidence that Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime used chemical weapons against opposition forces. Obama has said the use of chemical weapons would cross a “red line,” suggesting greater American intervention.
While a small percentage of the 93,000 people reportedly killed in Syria are said to have died from chemical weapons — U.S. intelligence puts the number at 100 to 150 — the White House views the deployment of the deadly agents as a flouting of international norms. Ben Rhodes, Obama’s deputy national security adviser, said the multiple chemical weapons attacks gave greater urgency to the situation.
“Suffice it to say this is going to be different in both scope and scale in terms of what we are providing,” Rhodes said of the ramped-up U.S. response. But he added that the U.S. would make specific determinations “on our own timeline.”
The Obama administration could give the rebels a range of weapons, including small arms, assault rifles, shoulder-fired rocket-propelled grenades and other anti-tank missiles. The opposition forces could operate most of that equipment without significant training.

Iraqi Christian Man Commits Suicide After Muslims Rape Wife And Daughter In Front Of Him Because He Couldn’t Pay Sharia Tax…
A Christian father who watched his wife and daughter get brutally raped by members of the militant group, Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) because he couldn’t pay them a poll tax in Mosul, Iraq, killed himself under the weight of the trauma this past weekend.
A report from the Assyrian International News Agency said ISIS began enforcing Islamic laws in the northern Iraq city which they overran on June 10.
Dr. Sallama Al-Khafaji of the Iraq High Commission for Human Rights said the incident happened on Saturday after ISIS began asking Christians in Mosul for a poll tax.
“In one instance, ISIS members entered the home of an Assyrian family in Mosul and demanded the poll tax (jizya). When the Assyrian family said they did not have the money, three ISIS members raped the mother and daughter in front of the husband and father. The husband and father was so traumatized that he committed suicide,” said the report.
“The Christians have told me that they cannot pay this tax,” Dr. Al-Khafaji told AINA, “and they say ‘what am I to do, shall I kill myself?’”
Four Christian women were also reportedly shot dead by ISIS members because they were not wearing veils.

Sixty-nine terrorist prisoners 'massacred by Iraqi police to stop them being freed by ISIS and then joining them' as Shi'ites get dirty

  • Mystery surrounds the massacre with several accounts of the incident
  • 'Prisoners died when extremists attacked their transfer convoy' - officials
  • Anonymous police sources say they were killed to prevent them joining Isis
  • Other sources say an attack was staged before the prisoners were shot
  • The prisoners were being transferred to a jail in southern Baghdad

  • It was supposed to be a routine job, police say. Move 69 prisoners from an outlying town to a jail in southern Baghdad. But before they arrived at their destination, every single prisoner had been killed.
But mystery surrounds the massacre. According to some sources, it’s likely that they were killed to prevent them joining the rebellion.
The official account, though, given hours after the killing on Monday by the governor of Hillah, 92km (57 miles) south of Baghdad, was that militants had attacked the convoy killing 10 prisoners and one policeman in the crossfire.

But a police captain, a second police officer and a senior local official from where the prisoners died in Hilla, all speaking on condition of anonymity while giving an account that differed from the official line, told Reuters no attack took place, and the police had executed the 69 men.
A third police source who would not contradict the account that the convoy had come under attack nevertheless confirmed that all 69 had been killed and said some had not died in the crossfire but were gunned down to prevent them from escaping.
The deaths in Hillah came less than a week after the killing of 52 prisoners in Baquba, a regional capital north of Baghdad.
The police account of that incident also said that the prisoners had died in crossfire during a battle with insurgents. But local Sunni officials including the mayor and the provincial governor, medical staff at the morgue and relatives of the dead all said the victims were gunned down in their jail cells.
Iraq's government has long denied it summarily executes prisoners. Following a Reuters report on police executions in March, army spokesman Sa'ad Ma'an said: ‘If it happened, whoever committed it will be investigated, held accountable and sent to a military court.’

China Slows the Spread of Islamic Terrorism by Shooting Muslims

Chinese security forces shot dead five ethnic minority Muslim Uyghurs in the third consecutive week of fatal shootings in a restive county in the northwestern region of Xinjiang, an exile Uyghur group said Monday, accusing the authorities of a “cover-up”.
The latest killing in Yingwusitang township in Yarkand (in Chinese, Shache) county, which is administered by the Silk Road city of Kashgar, occurred on Friday when police surrounded a house and gunned down five occupants who had not been suspects of any crime, according to the Munich-based World Uyghur Congress.
Dilxat Raxit, the Sweden-based spokesman for the group, accused the authorities of using excessive force in the incident, saying it was unfortunate that the killings came ahead of the Eid al-Adha, the Muslim festival of Sacrifice, to be observed on Tuesday.
“Ahead of the festival, Chinese armed personnel surrounded a Uyghur house in Yarkand. They opened fire and caused the death of five Uyghurs. They used excessive force,” he told RFA’s Cantonese Service.
“The authorities have tried to cover up the news. They thought some suspects were inside [the house],” he said, suggesting that the five had done nothing wrong.
