Virginia Democrat Delegate Joe Morrissey is now facing a number of disturbing charges after a grand jury found there was enough evidence to pursue five indictments against him. Among the counts being pursued by special prosecutor William Neely are felonies related to indecent liberties and possession of child pornography, as well as the solicitation and distribution of such images.
The 56-year-old, who previously served as commonwealth’s attorney in Virginia’s capital, allegedly bragged about his sexual abuse.
“He had sex with [the victim] twice in his law office and texted someone about it,” Neely asserted.
A local NBC report indicates Neely has phone records from both Morrissey and the girl supporting his case.
According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the 17-year-old girl’s father was concerned about her relationship with Morrissey, leading police to visit the delegate’s home where they found both the teen and Morrissey.
Following that development last August, Morrissey’s attorney alleged the teen had lied about her age upon taking a job as a secretary at his law office. Anthony Troy contended his client was a “consummate gentleman” in his interactions with the girl.
The lawyer went on to suggest that even the girl and her family denied any wrongdoing on the delegate’s part. He asserted late last year that the teen, her mother, and her grandmother said “in unequivocal terms, that no sexual activity took place.”
Nevertheless, a grand jury determined Morrissey should stand trial for the charges against him. If convicted, he could reportedly face a total prison sentence of up to 40 years, along with an additional year in jail.
As a result of the SCOTUS Ruling and Obama's (I can do what ever the hell I Want) Attitude, Hundreds of Labor Board Decisions are now in Doubt
The Supreme Court ruling on Thursday that invalidated three appointments made by President Obama to the National Labor Relations Board has thrown hundreds of the board's decisions into question. The board that rules on labor disputes is now scrambling to determine the impact of the high court decision. At issue is whether board decisions made when the now-invalid appointees were participating will have to be re-decided under the current NLRB
By one count, more than 430 cases could be in doubt, including a decision to protect workers from being fired for complaining about their companies on social media sites.
Board Chairman Mark Gaston Pearce put out a brief statement on Thursday acknowledging the possibility these cases will have to be revisited.
"We are analyzing the impact that the Court's decision has on Board cases in which the January 2012 recess appointees participated," he said. "The Agency is committed to resolving any cases affected by today's decision as expeditiously as possible."
He noted that the board, as it's now constituted, has five Senate-confirmed members. But that was not the case between January 2012 and mid-2013, when the board contained members whom the Supreme Court has determined were improperly appointed.
THAD COCHRAN CAMPAIGN MANAGER Busted in Vote Buying Scheme
A black Mississippi pastor has emerged to claim Sen. Thad Cochran's (R-MS) campaign paid “thousands” of Democrats $15 each to vote in the June 24 GOP runoff – and that he was part of the scheme.Rev. Stevie Fielder, an associate pastor at First Union Missionary Baptist Church in Meridan, Mississippi, says Cochran's campaign “told me to offer blacks $15 each and to vote for Thad.”
Fielder, who was paid by freelance journalist Charles C. Johnson for the story, provided a new outlet launched by Johnson—GotNews.com—with four text messages from a person purporting to be Cochran campaign staffer Saleem Baird.
The messages cite an official Cochran campaign email address—Saleem@ThadForMs.com—and include detailed discussions of the campaign providing envelopes of money to distribute to people who vote.
“Send me individual names and amounts along with home address to saleem@thadforms.com and I'll have money separated in envelopes at the office waiting for you,” one message, sent three days before the runoff, says.
Fielder said he helped distribute the Cochran cash for votes on a promise of eventually getting paid $16,000—and because a key Cochran campaign staffer convinced him that Cochran's conservative challenger state Sen. Chris McDaniel was racist.
“They sold me on the fact that he was a racist and that the right thing to do was to keep him out of office,” Fielder said.
Outraged Students Ask Hillary To Return Her $225,000 Speaking Fee
Democrats attacked Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential race for being rich and out of touch. It seems the tables have turned. Hillary Clinton is taking some heavy fire over comments about being broke while she pulls in at least $200,000 per speech.
In a recent interview with Diane Sawyer, Hillary claimed, “We came out of the White House not only dead broke, but in debt. We had no money when we got there, and we struggled to, you know, piece together the resources for mortgages, for houses, for Chelsea’s education. You know, it was not easy.”
In 2000, it was reported that the Clinton’s were $10 million in debt, but by 2008 they had earned $109 million. Am I the only one wishing I could be as broke as the Clintons?
This October, Hillary is scheduled to speak at the University of Las Vegas’s fundraiser. She has been paid $225,000 to do this. Although it was paid by the university’s private foundation, irate students want her to give it back.
While they appreciate the fact that she wants to help fundraise for their school, they think the $225,000 fee is ‘obscene’. Student Jordan Mason said, “I like Hillary, but if she’s not willing to support us without all that money changing hands, maybe they should book someone else who won’t add to the reasons we’re paying more for school.”
Elias Benjelloun, UNLV student body president, and Daniel Waqar, student governments’s public relations director, feel that money should have gone towards cutting student’s tuition costs. They’ve sent her a letter saying that since she champions herself as ‘committed to higher education’ she should donate the money back to the school.
Do you think she will give it back?
Thousands of Illegal Immigrants Bused Across U.S. into Cities
LAREDO, Texas--A glimpse into the reality of the thousands of illegal immigrants being released into the U.S. by the Obama Administration was captured on video in a Greyhound Bus station in Laredo, Texas this weekend.
The illegal immigrants who cross as incomplete family units simply enter the U.S. illegally, turn themselves in to U.S. Border Patrol agents, are processed, and then are released with a notice to appear at a future date for court proceedings. U.S. taxpayers then fund bus tickets for the illegal immigrants to go to the U.S. city of their choosing. Approximately 95 percent of the illegal immigrants never return as promised for court proceedings, according to Hector Garza, a Border Patrol agent and spokesperson for the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) Local 2455."The majority of these people crossed the border illegally and were then dropped off here at the bus station, so they could continue to their final destination, and that destination is an American city near you," said Garza. "This right here is border insecurity at its best. Our border is not patrolled, it's not being secured... our federal government is releasing thousands and thousands of illegal aliens into our communities."
6 dumbest arguments against Hobby Lobby decision…
The Supreme Court’s decision today affirming the right of business owners to run their businesses in accordance with their religious beliefs has caused no small amount of consternation among the anti-science, functionally illiterate Left. The Supreme Court just banned birth control forever. Male justices just imprisoned women across America. If you don’t buy my stuff for me, it means you want to ban that stuff. And so on and so forth. Thanks to the wonder of the Internet, we have been given a wealth of riches when it comes to stupid arguments from stupid people. Here are the 6 dumbest arguments from dumb liberals about the Hobby Lobby decision.

ObamaMESS: The Feds Spent $4.8 Billion on Obamacare Exchanges So ... SO FAR!
The (You have to "pass it before you can find out what's in it") law passed with ‘indefinite’ funding:The federal government has spent nearly $5 billion to establish federal and state exchanges for Obamacare, according to a report by the Congressional Research Service (CRS).
The funding was provided by a section of the Affordable Care Act that allowed for “indefinite” funding at the discretion of the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).
“The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is incurring significant administrative costs to support [federally-facilitated exchanges] FFE operations,” the report, which was released earlier this month, said.According to CMS, the government spent $456 million to support “exchange operations” between fiscal years 2010 and 2012, before the law went into effect. In 2013 the government spent $1.545 billion for administrative costs associated with the exchanges, and expects to spend an additional $1.390 million this year. The agency has requested another $1.788 billion for 2015.
The law enabled HHS to distribute multiple grants to states to plan and establish exchanges. Initial planning grants were valued at $1 million, though multiple rounds of “exchange establishment grants” cost much more, totaling $4.6 billion.
Every state and D.C. received planning grants except Alaska, which did not apply.Read the rest of the story HERE.
Trey Gowdy to Obama: Stop Trying to “Outmaneuver” the Constitution and Do Your JOB
If there is one force in Congress that makes President Obama’s knees knock together in terror it’s likely to be Rep. Trey Gowdy.Gowdy has a reputation for straight-talk, never sugar coating the truth, and relentlessly pursuing the facts when investigating cases of government corruption, a task that keeps him quite busy these days.
The South Carolina congressman recently released a statement sharing his thoughts on the unanimous Supreme Court decision that labeled President Obama’s recess appointments as unconstitutional.
As has come to be expected from the passionate speaker, he nails the president to the wall for attempting to redefine the plain language of the Constitution, stating that since Obama taught constitutional law, he ought to know better.
The scathing rebuke also defined the president’s prime responsibility as making sure that the Constitution is followed, not “outmaneuvered.”
via TPNN:
Congressman Trey Gowdy commented on the Supreme Court’s unanimous 9-0 decision to strike down Obama’s “recess” appointments to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) when the Senate was actually in session. Congressman Gowdy says that it’s Obama’s job to follow the Constitution, not outmaneuver it for political expediency.
Gowdy said that Obama doesn’t get to change the definition of the word “recess,” just to fit his political whims, and that Obama should know better, since he claims to be a constitutional expert.
Two Years After His Death, Veteran Finally Gets VA Appointment
The wife of a Massachusetts veteran received a letter from Veterans Affairs offering him an appointment last month, two years after he died from brain cancer.
Suzanne Chase said her husband Douglas was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2011 and died months later.
“It was addressed to my husband and I opened it,” she told CBS Boston regarding the letter. “I was in complete disbelief. It was 22 months too late. I kind of thought I was in the twilight zone when I opened this letter and read it.”
The letter asked that Doug, a Vietnam war veteran, respond promptly to the offer: “We are committed to providing primary care in a timely manner and would greatly appreciate a prompt response.”
“I had been denied a funeral benefit because I had not used the VA,” she said. “Now you’re telling me, after he’s been dead for 22 months, he can have an appointment?”
Doug traveled from Acton to Boston to receive cancer treatment.
“It was so difficult for him to take the ambulance ride into Boston, we wanted to be closer.”
They attempted to transfer his care closer to home at the Veteran Affairs hospital in Bedford but never heard back. They waited four months. Doug died in August 2012.
She said Doug’s cancer was incurable, but other veterans who would benefit from care are probably falling through the cracks just like he did.
A VA director called Chase Monday to apologize and said an investigation would be opened on the matter.
Sarah Palin Perfectly Explains Nancy Pelosi’s Hypocrisy on the Border Crisis
Nancy Pelosi, one of the most despised members of Congress, might be one of the biggest hypocrites working in the government.Pelosi recently weighed in on the immigration crisis striking states along the border, calling it an “opportunity.” This, of course, lines up well with the liberal principle of never letting a crisis go to waste.
The situation in question involves thousands of children illegally crossing the border. Pelosi stated that these children had a “divine spark” that was worthy of respect and care.
This seems strange coming from a politician who staunchly supports the right of women to kill their children in the womb.
Former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin picked up on the hypocrisy in Pelosi’s statement of life being sacred, and took to Facebook to call out the California congresswoman for her pro-abortion stance.
via Facebook:
Well I’ll be a monkey’s uncle. My sister sent me a clip of Nancy Pelosi either speaking such gibberish, considering her track record, or confessing one heck of a great conversion.Palin nails it here. Pelosi and most liberals like her, are complete hypocrites, using pro-life language in the immigration crisis to politicize it for the purpose of expanding the Democratic voter base.
Yesterday, Ms. Pelosi spoke highly of illegal immigrants storming our U.S. border, including the children being used and abused in this crisis, and said America needs to look at this as an “opportunity,” not a crisis. She proclaimed, “every child, every person, has a spark of divinity in them and is therefore worthy of respect” because we are “all God’s children.”
Amen, sista!
But, really? How sincere is this politician’s concern? Never seen as a pro-child/pro-life advocate with respect for that sacred “spark of divinity” in every innocent human life in the womb, Ms. Pelosi often touts her Catholic faith but overlooks this doctrine her Church has preached for 2000 years.
Hopefully she’s changed her tune on the issue of life – in which case, I’m sure she’ll invite those who understand the impact a culture of life can have on America to use her new, refreshing advocacy statement.
Her words yesterday are the foundational pro-life message that can educate those in her party who constantly claim to be “for the children” in one breath, but in their next breath advocate snuffing out the life of innocent children soon-to-be-born. Cynics (or those of us living in reality) recognize typical liberal hypocrisy here, but then again we can hope this is revelation of a profound Pelosi political conversion!
Though I won’t hold my breath.
Sarah Palin
Pelosi is an example of what happens when a person is allowed to overstay their welcome and make a career out of politics. Rather than represent her constituents and uphold the Constitution, she wants to gain any kind of political advantage she can, including using young children being sent across the border by their parents. It’s despicable.
FATCA tax deal forces Canadian banks to send info to IRS
When Canada’s banks reopen for business on July 2, they will begin formally operating as informants for the United States Internal Revenue Service — the IRS.Financial institutions in Canada will be required to ask all new and existing clients opening a new account questions such as where they were born, and possibly where their parents were born.
Those who indicate they have a connection to the U.S. will have their files sent to the Canada Revenue Agency — which will automatically pass them along to the IRS.
Canadian citizens who decline to answer the new set of questions could have their personal banking information passed along to Uncle Sam to determine if they are a “U.S. person.” Or, the bank could refuse to open an account for those who refuse to answer the questions.
All U.S. citizens and “resident aliens” (green card holders) are required to file U.S. taxes every year — regardless of where they live. Eritrea is the only other country in the world with a similar law.
Accidental Americans
In 2010, the U.S. announced the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), a law billed as an attempt to catch wealthy Americans stashing their money in offshore accounts. Critics quickly pointed out, however, the law makes no distinction between those intentionally engaging in tax avoidance and “accidental Americans.”It is estimated that one million U.S. citizens call Canada home, and while many are aware of the tax requirements that come with their dual citizenship, others are not.
More of a surprise to some is that the U.S. automatically confers citizenship to the children of U.S. citizens, even if they are born abroad, and with that comes the obligation to file taxes.

Security researches on Monday confirmed
that a vicious new cyber–attack has hit over 1,000 organizations in 84
countries. “Energetic Bear” is a Stux-net like malware targeting energy
and utility companies and is “almost certainly from Russia.”
This is scary stuff. Not only has the attack been going on for 18 months; it appears to be focused on targets in the United States and Europe.
According to the Financial Times, the malware “allows its operators to monitor energy consumption in real time, or to cripple physical systems such as wind turbines, gas pipelines and power plants at will.” This is exactly the kind of attack the government has been worried about.
Symantec says that the group of attackers – dubbed Dragonfly – is almost certainly “based in eastern Europe and has all the markings of being state sponsored.”
