Obamacare rates to soar by as much as 23 per cent in 2015
For one Federal Communications Commission
worker, his porn habit at work was easy to explain: Things were slow,
he told investigators, so he perused it “out of boredom” — for up to
eight hours each week.
Lack of work has emerged time and again in federal investigations, and it’s not just porn, nor is it confined to the FCC. Across government, employees caught wasting time at work say they simply didn’t have enough work to do, according to investigation records obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.
“He stated he is aware it is against government rules and regulations, but he often does not have enough work to do and has free time,” investigators wrote of another federal employee, this one at the Treasury Department, who viewed more than 13,000 pornographic images in a six-week span.
Investigations at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Commerce Department and the General Services Administration have turned up similar cases, though memos show the employees rarely face criminal prosecution for time and attendance fraud.
A spokesman for the FCC declined to comment on what, if any, action the agency took after the FCC’s inspector general singled out the eight-hour-a-week porn peeper.
FCC spokesman Mark Wigfield said only that the agency follows Office of Personnel Management guidelines on disciplinary matters and officials could not comment on specific cases.
In another recent case, a GSA employee who spent about two hours a day on a computer looking at pornography and dating sites “sometimes became bored during these long hours at the computer and would often use the computer for personal use to pass the time,” according to a case report by the GSA inspector general last year.
In a more recent and far more costly example, U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board paralegals received salaries and bonuses for years even though they spent much of their time watching television, shopping online, exercising and wasting time on their tablet computers, according to an investigation released this week by the Commerce Department’s inspector general. Investigators estimate that more than $4 million was spent paying employees for time they weren’t working.
Despite the record low numbers for President Obama, NBC Nightly News failed to cover its own polling results during their Tuesday night broadcast.
The NBC News/WSJ poll also found that a strong majority of Americans, 60 percent, disapprove of President Obama's handling of foreign policy with only 36 percent approving. The same poll also found that 33 percent of Americans have very negative feelings towards Obama, tying a record high from December of 2013.
Rather than cover its own polling, NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams spent 40 seconds promoting a video of a Norwegian mom trying to get her 2-year old son to go to bed on a hot summer night. Will NBC's Today acknowledge President Obama's record low approval ratings on Wednesday morning? Stay tuned to find out.
He also lamented the fact that President Barack Obama “really thought…that he could deal with the Tea Party.”
“They are mean, racist people,” the 83-year-old lawmaker said. “Now why do I say that? Because in those red states, they’re the same slave-holding states. They had the Confederate flag. They became Dixiecrats; they had the Confederate flag. They’re now the Tea Party; they still got the Confederate [flag]. I don’t think that’s a coincidence,” he continued. “There is nothing the president can do–not love of country, not love of party–that they’re not prepared to kill themselves to get to him.”
This isn’t the first time Rangel has verbally eviscerated the group. Last summer he referred to the Tea Party as “the same group we faced in the South with those white crackers and the dogs and the police.”
The National Defense Panel is a congressional-mandated bipartisan commission that’s co-chairs were appointed by Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel.
On July 31, the National Defense Panel released its long-awaited report on the effects of the QDR and delivered its findings to Congress. The panel pulled no punches — its findings were a scathing indictment of Obama’s foreign policy, national security policy, and defense policy.
The panel found that president Barack Obama’s QDR, military force reductions, and trillion-dollar defense budget cuts are dangerous — and will leave the country in a position where it is unable to respond to threats to our nation’s security.
In particular, the report addresses the need for the administration to return to the flexible response doctrine — a policy where the military was tasked with being capable of fighting two wars at the same time.
Given the current state of affairs and the threats posed to our nation, the panel felt that the two-war doctrine was still required to meet our nation’s national security challenges.
So what is the flexible response doctrine, and why is it so important?
In 1961, the Kennedy administration sought to remake U.S. defense doctrine after concluding that former President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s “New Look” doctrine, which focused on mutually-assured destruction, was inappropriate for the Cold War. Kennedy decided that the United States would adopt a “Flexible Response Doctrine,” in which we would hold adversaries at bay through strategic deterrence and the ability to fight two wars — plus a smaller conflict — at the same time.
That doctrine carried the United States through the Cold War and all of the other so-called shooting wars that followed, despite numerous challenges from nation states and non-state actors alike.
In 2012, the Obama administration decided to change the two-and-a-half war policy of the Flexible Response doctrine, in part due to the nation’s war fatigue, and also in response to budgetary constraints exacerbated by a sluggish economy .

NBC Ignores Own Poll Showing 54 Percent of Americans Disapprove of Obama Job Performance
On Tuesday, August 5, the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll found that President Obama’s popularity reached its lowest point since he first took office in 2009. Overall, 54 percent of Americans disapprove of the job the president is doing compared to just 40 percent who approve.Despite the record low numbers for President Obama, NBC Nightly News failed to cover its own polling results during their Tuesday night broadcast.

The Army is Forcing Out 550 Majors .. Some to get the News while Serving in Afghanistan
About 550 Army majors, including some serving in Afghanistan, will soon be told they have to leave the service by next spring as part of a budget-driven downsizing of the service.
Gen. John Campbell, the vice chief of the Army, acknowledged Friday that telling troops in a war zone that they're out of a job is a difficult task. But he said some of the soldiers could join the National Guard or the Army Reserve.
The decision to cut Army majors comes on the heels of a move to slash nearly 1,200 captains from the ranks. Army leaders were criticized at the time for giving 48 of them the bad news while they were deployed to Afghanistan.
The Army declined to say how many majors will be notified while they are at the battlefront.
"The ones that are deployed are certainly the hardest," Campbell told reporters. "What we try to do there is, working through the chain of command, minimize the impact to that unit and then maximize the time to provide to that officer to come back and do the proper transition, to take care of himself or herself, and the family."
Campbell said it's difficult to avoid cutting deployed soldiers because of the timing schedules.
Airborne? CDC Now Confirms Concerns of Airborne Transmission of Ebola
Federal agency directs airline staff to prevent spread of “infectious material through the air”
Despite
repeated assurances that the Ebola virus cannot be transmitted via
airborne particles, the CDC is concerned about that very outcome and has
directed airline staff to take steps to prevent the spread of
“infectious material through the air.”
While Ebola is highly contagious, the risk of a full blown pandemic has been downplayed by health authorities because, according to our current understanding of the virus, Ebola, “is not airborne and is transmitted through contact with bodily fluids, including sweat and blood.”
However, with concerns rising that the current strain of the virus, which is the worst in history and has killed 887 people, could in fact be airborne, the Centers For Disease Control has implemented steps to prevent its spread via international air travel.
A CDC advisory entitled Interim Guidance about Ebola Virus Infection for Airline Flight Crews, Cleaning Personnel, and Cargo Personnel reveals that the federal agency is concerned about airborne contamination.
The advisory urges airline staff to provide surgical
masks to potential Ebola victims in order “to reduce the number of
droplets expelled into the air by talking, sneezing, or coughing.” (emphasis mine).
The CDC is also directing airline cleaning personnel to, “not use compressed air, which might spread infectious material through the air.” (emphasis mine).
The CDC’s concern about the Ebola virus being spread via the air is understandable in light of a 2012 experiment conducted by Canadian scientists which proved that, “the ebola virus could be transmitted by air between species.”
Researchers demonstrated that the virus could be
transmitted from pigs to monkeys without any direct contact by placing
the two animals in pens separated only by a wire barrier. After eight
days, some of the monkeys were found to have symptoms of Ebola likely as
a result of “inhaling large aerosol droplets produced from the
respiratory tracts of the pigs.”
The results of the study led scientists to conclude that, “limited airborne transmission might be contributing to the spread of the disease in some parts of Africa,” although they cautioned against making comparisons to the airborne nature of the influenza virus.
In addition, the Public Health Agency of Canada’s official website states under a section entitled “mode of transmission,” that “airborne spread among humans is strongly suspected, although it has not yet been conclusively demonstrated.”
The potential for a new strain of the Ebola virus to have achieved airborne transmission only serves to cast further doubt on the logic of the United States choosing to import two Ebola sufferers into the country.
Rep. Charlie Rangel: Tea Party made up of ‘mean, racist people’
Rep. Charlie Rangel has no qualms about calling out the Tea Party.
During a recent interview with NY1, the outspoken New York Democrat talking about the difficulty of trying to find common ground with the conservative faction of the Republican Party.
If the Obama admin does not reverse course on its defense strategy, the U.S. is in serious danger.
The report is in, and the review of the president’s foreign policy is clear: If there is not an immediate course-reversal, the United States is in serious danger. The National Defense Panel is a congressional-mandated bipartisan commission that’s co-chairs were appointed by Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel.

What this famous and revered Imam, Abu Ammaar Yasir Qadhi, preaches goes
beyond hate speech… it’s a mission of purification through promoting a
religious extermination order. This Imam openly preaches it and we’ve got it on tape.
Abu Ammaar Yasir Qadhi, a Memphis Imam based in Tennessee, preaches
openly about what Islam truly is. He makes no bones about thinking that
anyone other than a Muslim doesn’t deserve anything and are less than
Muslims. In fact, part of Yasir Qadhi’s preaching includes rhetoric that
says non-Muslims lives are forfeit and their property is legal for
Muslims to take in jihad, (and this would include women as sex slaves)
Recently Yasir Qadhi said that “Jews and Christians filthy, their lives
and property can be taken in jihad by the Muslims.”
Yasir Qadhi is not only a Memphil Imam, but is is also the Dean of Academic Affairs at the Al-Maghrib Institute. He is a hafiz (has memorized the Qur’an) and he has an M.A. in the Islamic Creed and a B.A. in Islamic Sciences from Islamic University of Medina, as well as a master’s and a doctorate in Islamic Studies from Yale. During a lecture on Shirk, or polytheism, Yasir Qadhi said that Jews and Christians are mushrikoon, or polytheists, because they have made partners with Allah. From Yasir Qadhi’s perspective, only Muslims are monotheists.
He also claims that it is the responsibility of every single human being to bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and him alone. Now pay attention here. Yasir Qadhi now will tell you what the result and command that stems from this twisted principle.

Biden Proves He Needs A World Map After Making This Embarrassing Gaffe At A National Summit
On Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden gave a speech at a business forum focused on strengthening the economic relationship between the United States and Africa. Embarrassingly, Biden seems to think Africa is a nation, not a continent. From our friends at the Washington Free Beacon:
Biden suggested Africa was a nation while speaking Monday at the U.S. Africa Summit.*“There is no reason the nation of Africa cannot, and should not, join the ranks of the worlds [sic] most prosperous nations,” Biden said.
Well, when President Obama thinks he’s visited all 57 states, I guess that can be expected.

Video indicates UN school attack blamed on Israel appears to have been staged
On Sunday, the State Department rushed to condemn Israel for “shelling” a UN school in Rafah, killing ten civilians.
Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer, however, said the State Department rushed to condemn Israel as the incident was still under investigation. According to Dermer, Israel never shelled the school in its attack on members of Islamic Jihad. Now, a video has emerged indicating that Hamas staged the aftermath to present a false picture of what really happened.Jeff Dunetz wrote at Truth Revolt:
The account promoted by Hamas and repeated by the United States and the U.N. on Sunday was that an Israeli mortar hit a U.N. school, killing 10 people, including children. However, evidence is emerging that the Israeli strike hit outside of the school and the bodies were moved into the courtyard to make it look like Israel hit the school.Rick Moran noted at PJTatler that the shell “struck a street outside the school gates on Sunday morning.”
Now a video posted by Moral Divide indicates the Palestinian propaganda machine — otherwise known as “Pallywood” — had swung into action. And naturally, the rabidly anti-Israel left bought it, hook, line and sinker.
