Will Carnage in Paris Cause Obama to Revise His Reckless Plans to Import Syrian Refugees?

In normal times, the tragic events in Paris, France would cause American leaders and thinkers, including the president, to take immediate steps to strengthen US defenses against Islamic extremism and terrorism.

Unfortunately, America is presently burdened with a president who is connected, as least sympathetically, to Islam, and who is unyielding in his outrageous assertion that our nation is not at war with Muslim extremists.

Over the years, President Obama has persistently resisted efforts to properly identify and combat Islamic extremists.  Indeed, shielding Muslims from hurt feelings seems a greater priority for Obama than assuring the well- being and safety of innocent Americans.

Obama’s latest folly is his fool-hearty plan to admit tens of thousands of Syrian refugees into America.

Cruz: Obama ‘Does Not Wish To Defend This Country,’ Refugee Plan ‘Nothing Less Than Lunacy’

stated that bringing in “tens of thousands of Syrian Muslim refugees to America is nothing less than lunacy” and “I recognize that Barack Obama does not wish to defend this country” while advocating the US provide “safe haven” for Christians in the Middle East who are persecuted on Saturday’s “Fox & Friends” on the Fox News Channel. 

Cruz said, “Well, first of all, I want to say, we stand in solidarity with the people of France, with President Hollande, with the families of all of the victims of these acts of horrific terrorism, and the American people are standing as one. We’re grieving with the nation of France today, and we are standing as your friend and ally. But secondly, these attacks underscore that we are facing an enemy who is fierce, who is relentless, who is at war with us, even if our own president doesn’t understand that it is at war with with us, and who will not stop until it is defeated. That enemy is radical Islamic terrorism. As long as we have a commander-in-chief unwilling to even to utter the words, ‘radical Islamic terrorism,’ we will not have a concerted effort to defeat these radicals before they continue to murder more and more innocents, whether Europeans, or Israelis, or Americans.”

OBAMA: ISIS IS NOT GETTING ‘STRONGER,’ WE HAVE ‘CONTAINED’ THEM

Friday on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” President Barack Obama seemingly downplayed the threat of ISIS in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that aired on Friday’s broadcast of “Good Morning America.”

Stephanopoulos asked Obama if ISIS was gaining in strength, to which Obama denied they were.

“I don’t think they’re gaining strength,” Obama responded. “What is true is that from the start, our goal has been first to contain and we have contained them. They have not gained ground in Iraq, and in Syria they’ll come in, they’ll leave, but you don’t see this systemic march by ISIL across the terrain.”
“What we have not yet been able to do is to completely decapitate their command and control structures,” he admitted. “We’ve made some progress in trying to reduce the flow of foreign fighters and part our goal has to be to recruit more effective Sunni partners in Iraq to really go on offense rather than simply engage in defense.”

Kremlin says Paris attack shows Russia, West must unite on Syria

Russian politicians on Saturday said the Paris attack underscored the need for the West and the Kremlin to bury their differences and join forces to take on Islamic State militants in Syria, a strategy Moscow has pushed for in vain for months.

Mired in economic problems and reeling from low oil prices, a weak rouble, dwindling reserve funds and Western sanctions over the Ukraine crisis, the Kremlin wants the West to stop trying to isolate Russia and unite with it instead against what it says is a common enemy: Islamist extremism.

On Saturday, it said it hoped the Paris attacks, which Russia condemned unreservedly from President Vladimir Putin downwards, could be the trigger for the sea change it wants.

“It is clear, that to effectively fight this evil we need real joint efforts by the entire international community,” Putin said in a statement, a sentiment echoed by his prime minister and defense minister.

Sergei Sobyanin, a close Putin ally and the mayor of Moscow, said the killings were “another reason to consolidate in the battle against Islamic State,” while Alexey Pushkov, a senior lawmaker and the chairman of the foreign affairs committee in the lower house of parliament, said he hoped the incident would bring the West to its senses.

“Russia is fighting in Syria against those who blew up Paris and declared war on Europe,” he wrote on his official Twitter account. “It is time for the West to stop criticizing Moscow and to form a joint coalition.”

Vladimir Putin Will Step Up To Help France And ELIMINATE ISIS…

In the wake of the brutal Paris attacks, Russian President Vladimir Putin was quick to offer his condolences and readiness to assist the people of France.

“This tragedy is further evidence of the barbaric nature of terrorism, which poses a challenge to human civilization,” said Putin.
Putin was torn over the tragedy and sent his condolences to the people of France in an official message to French President Francois Hollande.
“In this hour of trial for France I would like you to convey our sincere sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims and our wishes of a speedy recovery to all those who suffered at the hands of the extremists,” Putin said, in the message as reported by the Kremlin.
“I would like to confirm [our] readiness for close cooperation with French partners on investigating the crime committed in Paris,” Putin continued.
“I hope the masterminds and perpetrators will be brought to justice,” Putin wrote to Hollande.

CBS reportedly refocused tonight's Democratic debate on terror, security

CBS News reportedly reworked the format of its Saturday night Democratic debate agenda to focus more on terrorism, national security and foreign policy, in the hours following the deadly terror attacks in Paris.
Network executive Steve Capus told The New York Times late Friday that the adjustments were made during debate rehearsals in Des Moines, Iowa, after news broke about the deadly attacks.

"There is no question that the emphasis changes dramatically," said Capus, the network's executive editor and the executive producer of "CBS Evening News.'

The Islamic State jihadist group has claimed responsibility for the series of coordinated attacks in and around the French capital in which 127 people were killed. Another 200 people were critically injured, including some Americans, as a result of the attacks -- suicide bombings near France's national stadium and shooting at Paris cafes and a concert hall.
The debate is scheduled for 8 p.m. local time in the first-in-the-nation balloting state. It will feature front running Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, a former secretary of state; Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley.

David Cameron: We will wipe out ISIL

British Prime Minister David Cameron says he stands ready with France and allies around the world to wipe out ISIL (ISIS) in the wake of the terrorist attacks in France late Friday.
The terrorists claimed responsibility for the attacks on Saturday with a statement saying France "will remain at the top of the list of targets of the Islamic State."
Cameron said Britain is also under threat from the same forces and must not back down from this fight.

"The terrorists' aim is clear: it is to divide us and to destroy our way of life. So more than ever we should come together and stand united and carry on with the way of life that we love," Cameron said.

Cameron called those who attacked Paris killing concert goers and others out for a Friday night as "brutal, callous murderers,"

"We will redouble our efforts to wipe out this poisonous extremist ideology," Cameron said.

The statement from ISIS warned that Friday's attacks on Paris will not be the last.

A senior-level Israeli official claims that Israel has transferred intelligence information to France regarding the terrorists who committed the deadly attacks in Paris. Ya’alon: “We are determined to battle the jihadist terror together.”

A senior-level Israeli official claimed today (Saturday) that in recent hours, Israel has transferred intelligence information to France regarding the terrorists who committed the deadly attacks in Paris. Earlier today, the French newspaper Libération reported that the terrorists who committed the attacks, in which 128 people were killed and more than 200 injured, held Syrian, French, Egyptian and Lebanese passports.

While ISIS Massacred Innocents in Paris, The United States Hit Back at a Top Leader

As Islamic State militants massacred Paris with explosives and Kalashnikovs, the United States had a top ISIS leader in its crosshairs.
According to The Washington Post, Libyan ISIS senior leader Abu Nabil, aka Wissam Najm Abd Zayd al-Zubaydi, was killed in an airstrike Friday night.
The Guardian quotes Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook about the implications of killing the terror leader:

“Nabil’s death will degrade ISIL’s ability to meet the group’s objectives in Libya, including recruiting new ISIL members, establishing bases in Libya, and planning external attacks on the United States.”

Cook added a disturbing connection:

“Reporting suggests [Nabil] may also have been the spokesman in the February 2015 Coptic Christian execution video.”

In February, ISIS released a video in which ISIS beheaded 21 Coptic Christians on the beaches of Libya.

According to NBC, the strike was planned and in-process before the attack in Paris. U.S. officials told Reuters that Nabil was killed by two F-15 aircraft.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is making it known that Islam is the cause behind the terrorism in France.
Other world leaders, including America’s President Barack Obama, have shied away from saying ‘Islamic terrorism’.
The prime minister of Israel made it clear and condemned Islamic terrorism in an official statement.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated:

“On behalf of the people and Government of Israel, I extend our deepest sympathies to the people of France and to the families of those who were brutally murdered in Paris last night. We also extend our wishes for a speedy recovery to the wounded.
Israel stands shoulder-to-shoulder with France in this common battle against militant Islamic terrorism.
I’ve instructed Israel’s security and intelligence forces to assist their French counterparts and their counterparts from other European countries in any way possible.
Terrorism is the deliberate and systematic targeting of civilians. It can never be justified. Terrorism must always be condemned. It must always be fought.
Innocent people in Paris, like those in London, Madrid, Mumbai, Buenos Aires and Jerusalem, are the victims of militant Islamic terrorism, not its cause.

Santorum Blasts Obama on Paris Terror Attacks: ‘People Are Dying Because This President Refuses to Face the Truth’

Republican presidential contender Rick Santorum on Saturday blasted President Barack Obama, saying one of the reasons the latest deadly Paris terror attacks occurred is because Obama “has no intention of winning” the fight against the Islamic State.
“This president doesn’t plan. … This president has completely abandoned ship,” Santorum said at the Sunshine Summit in Florida, CNN reported.

Poland cannot accept migrants under European Union (EU) quotas after the attacks in Paris, Poland’s European affairs minister designate Konrad Szymanski said on Saturday, in a sign that Friday’s assault may seriously undermine EU refugee policy.

In a commentary published in the right-leaning news portal wPolityce.pl, Szymanski said his incoming government did not agree with Poland’s commitment to accept its share of an EU-wide relocation of immigrants, and now, “in the face of the tragic acts in Paris, we do not see the political possibilities to implement (this).”

“The (EU Council) decision is valid for all EU countries, but its implementation is very hard to imagine today,” Szymanski said in a separate interview for RMF FM radio. “We have to wait for the EU Court of Justice, for Brussel’s reaction.”

 

Szymanski will take up his position on Monday as part of a government formed by last month’s election winner, the conservative and eurosceptic Law and Justice (PiS) party.

In September, Poland broke ranks with its ex-communist partners from the ‘Visegrad group’ - Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia - by backing a European Union plan to share out 120,000 refugees across the 28-nation bloc.
