The Collapsing Obama Doctrine
Rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many.
By Dick Cheney And Liz Cheney
As the terrorists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) threaten Baghdad, thousands of slaughtered Iraqis in their wake, it is worth recalling a few of President Obama's past statements about ISIS and al Qaeda. "If a J.V. team puts on Lakers' uniforms that doesn't make them Kobe Bryant" (January 2014). "[C]ore al Qaeda is on its heels, has been decimated" (August 2013). "So, let there be no doubt: The tide of war is receding" (September 2011).Rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many. Too many times to count, Mr. Obama has told us he is "ending" the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan—as though wishing made it so. His rhetoric has now come crashing into reality. Watching the black-clad ISIS jihadists take territory once secured by American blood is final proof, if any were needed, that America's enemies are not "decimated." They are emboldened and on the march.
The fall of the Iraqi cities of Fallujah, Tikrit, Mosul and Tel Afar, and the establishment of terrorist safe havens across a large swath of the Arab world, present a strategic threat to the security of the United States. Mr. Obama's actions—before and after ISIS's recent advances in Iraq—have the effect of increasing that threat.
On a trip to the Middle East this spring, we
heard a constant refrain in capitals from the Persian Gulf to Israel,
"Can you please explain what your president is doing?" "Why is he
walking away?" "Why is he so blithely sacrificing the hard fought gains
you secured in Iraq?" "Why is he abandoning your friends?" "Why is he
doing deals with your enemies?"
In one
Arab capital, a senior official pulled out a map of Syria and Iraq.
Drawing an arc with his finger from Raqqa province in northern Syria to
Anbar province in western Iraq, he said, "They will control this
territory. Al Qaeda is building safe havens and training camps here.
Don't the Americans care?"
Our president
doesn't seem to. Iraq is at risk of falling to a radical Islamic terror
group and Mr. Obama is talking climate change. Terrorists take control
of more territory and resources than ever before in history, and he goes
golfing. He seems blithely unaware, or indifferent to the fact, that a
resurgent al Qaeda presents a clear and present danger to the United
States of America.
“Ships” in the Baltic
Last week, you read Vice Adm. Davidson’s post about the start of Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 2014. I’d like to follow up with my thoughts about how it went.It has been said that in the Navy, it’s important to recognize the importance of “ships” – but not just warships. We must also build and maintain partnerships, relationships, and friendships. That statement was clearly demonstrated in the Baltic Sea over the past two weeks.
BALTOPS 2014, the largest annual maritime exercise in the Baltic Sea, and now in its 42nd year, brought together 28 ships and two submarines from 14 countries and NATO. We exercised and operated together for almost two weeks, sending a powerful and visible signal of our combined effectiveness and ability to work together. BALTOPS 2014 demonstrated our commitment to maritime security and regional stability with partners and allies in a key region.
It was a busy two weeks. We conducted practice boardings of cooperative merchant shipping with boarding teams from four nations. We exercised cooperative air defense against, and with, land based tactical aircraft from the air forces of three nations. We came together in coordinated anti-submarine warfare with U.S. and partner ships, submarines, helicopters and maritime patrol aircraft. We conducted a mine detonation demonstration to drive home the importance of mine warfare, a major focus of this year’s exercise. Two mine countermeasure groups worked together to hunt, sweep and clear the sea lanes, ensuring access. Finally, we executed two days of tactical integration in a fictional scenario.
Bringing a diverse, talented and experienced group of Sailors together allowed everyone to demonstrate their unique skill set and expertise, forming an unwavering bond amongst allied and partner nations.
Two things struck me most – the capabilities of our partners and allies, and their willingness to be part of the team; and the Sailors from every nation and their leadership.
I first participated in BALTOPS in 1993. From my perspective as a helo pilot embarked on a frigate, it was a handful of ships from a few countries. We conducted basic seamanship events and some limited tactical exercises. This year, I was awe struck by the dramatic increase in the level of competence and professionalism demonstrated across the board, by every unit and every country, in nearly 100 sophisticated, complex, and coordinated events. We’ve come a long way as partners and allies committed to maritime security. I am convinced that commitment will be enduring.
I saw leadership in action everywhere and at every level. At the top, Brigadier General Ola Truedsson, a Swedish Naval Officer was the Deputy Commander of BALTOPS 2014. But it didn’t stop there; we had outstanding commanding officers, junior officers leading boarding and watch teams, and enlisted Sailors at all ranks and from all nations executing their mission with passion and excellence.
As I visited the Sailors from all 14 participating countries and NATO, I saw firsthand their pride and dedication to the mission, partnerships and security.
World War lll is Happening Now: The War on Christianity by Islam Has Begun and It’s a Fight to the Death
World War lll is not around the corner, it is not coming next week, or next month, it’s happening now. Too many people who are used to wars involving one or more countries fighting other countries, it is something in the future because they cannot grasp the fact that we are involved in a war without borders, where the soldiers are not easily identifiable by the uniform they wear.
World War lll is a religious war and it has already started. The murder of Christians around the globe is an indicator of what is to come unless the march of Islam is stopped in it’s tracks.A simple Google search tells us that Christianity is the world’s largest religion, it has more ‘members’ than any other. However, that’s a little misleading. The most practiced religion, the religion where people believe and adhere to the teachings of that religion is Islam, and that is where the problems begin.
We hear the word jihad daily, but we often don’t understand what we are hearing. The Qur’an talks of two jihads, the Lesser and the Greater Jihad and this is where we fail to understand the motivation behind extremist views.
The Greater jihad is the everyday struggle that Muslims face to grow in their faith and worship Allah, something most Muslims feel is the hardest thing they are asked to do, hence the greater tag. The Lesser Jihad is the struggle they face to build a good, stable Muslim society. It is the Lesser Jihad that allows Muslims to conduct Harb al-Muqadis, holy war.
The Lesser Jihad has rules, it can be declared or conducted in order to:
- Allow Muslims to practice their faith.
- To protect Muslims against attack.
- To put right something Muslims perceive as a wrong.
- The opponent must have started the fighting
- It must not be fought to gain territory
- It must be launched by a religious leader
- It must be fought to bring about good – something that Allah would approve of
- It must be a last resort – all other ways of solving the problem must have been tried
- Innocent people should not be killed; women, children or old people should not be killed or hurt
- Women must not be raped or abused in any way
- Enemies must be treated with justice
- Wounded enemy soldiers must be treated in exactly the same way as one’s own soldiers
- The war must stop as soon as the enemy asks for peace
- Property must not be damaged
- Poisoning of wells is forbidden (chemical or biological warfare might be a modern analogy).
Just as Christianity encompasses various different groups, Roman Catholic, Baptist, and Pentecostal for example, then Islam also has different sects within it. Sunni, Shi’ite, Alawite and Wahabi are some examples. They all believe in Allah, they all follow the teaching of the Qur’an but their interpretation of it is different.
It is these differences that is stoking the fires of civil war in Iraq. This was bound to happen. When you remove a leader, however bad you feel he is, and then you remove the force that removed that leader, there is a vacuum left behind that rival factions will attempt to fill, and this is precisely what’s happening in Iraq, and what will happen across the rest of the Middle East, and Africa until the winning sect takes on the rest of the world.
Thousands Of Iraqi Soldiers, Men & Boys Captured By ISIS
If the release of five top Taliban leaders
for a deserter, who may also now be a jihadist, did get you riled up,
then perhaps this will. It was reported at the end of the week that the
Obama administration released a dozen non-Afghan detainees to their
respective homes from a US military prison in Afghanistan.
The
Obama administration has quietly repatriated a dozen detainees from a
small U.S. military prison in Afghanistan, moving a modest step closer
toward winding down the United States' controversial post-9/11 detainee
system.
President Barack Obama, in a letter to Congress released on Thursday, informed U.S. lawmakers that about 38 non-Afghan prisoners remained at the Parwan detention center outside of Kabul, down from around 50 a few months ago.
A U.S. defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that a Frenchman, a Kuwaiti and 10 Pakistani prisoners were sent back to their respective home countries at the end of May.
The remaining detainees include Yemeni, Tunisian and more Pakistani nationals, and a Russian who the United States is also considering trying in a military or civilian court.
The transfers, which are not publicly disclosed, underscore the challenges the Obama administration faces in shutting down Parwan and the larger U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, which has been widely criticized by human rights groups since being populated in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
Iraq’s newfound ability came just in time. Last week, the EIA predicted that global oil demand will rise from 91.4 million barrels per day in 2014’s first quarter to 94 million during the last 3 quarters. Iraq has been able fill in the production gaps caused by violence in Libya and sanctions in Iran. Crude oil prices have been stable. Rebecca Patterson, chief investment officer at Bessemer Trust in New York, said: Iraq “is more important for the oil market than it has been for some time.”
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) states: “crude volatility recently had ground down to multi-year lows.”
But that low volatility level was before rapid gains by extremist insurgents in northern Iraq put all that progress in jeopardy, raised gasoline prices, and sent “shudders through financial markets.” A barrel of oil is now trading at its highest level since September. WSJ calls the increase “an unwelcome development for the U.S. and other major economies struggling with tepid growth.”
The sectarian fighting in Iraq had already caused a 4 percent increase in world oil prices which is expected to translate to a 5 to 10 cents a gallon bump in the price of regular unleaded gasoline. WSJ reports that “by some estimates, a sustained 10% increase in oil prices is believed to shave as much as 0.5% off economic growth in a two-year period.”
Most of Iraq’s oil fields are in the south and are, so far, believed to not be at “immediate risk.” Yet, the New York Times (NYT) reports: “The collapse of Iraq would bring an international oil crisis. …It would mean crude oil would go up to $150 a barrel.” WSJ affirms the impact of the mounting unrest which will have “radical implications for oil markets at a time of growing lost production worldwide due to intensifying disorder in a growing number of petroleum-producing counties.”

The latest evidence of a liberal media agenda comes from the Las Vegas shooters, Amanda and Jerad Miller. The picture collage at the top of this post paints a much different narrative than we have been fed.
We have been bombarded with the Millers’ connection to the Bundy Ranch, Alex Jones and the liberty movement in general. The liberty movement is massive and it does not encompass only the right-wing. But we were led to believe that the Millers were Tea Party-loving right-wing extremists. That is what the media wants America to believe. They especially want the police to believe this. They want cops around the country to believe that right-wing extremists are the enemies, and in this case “cop killers.”
Why? Because if and when that fateful day of revolution descends upon this nation, the left wants the police in their corner. It is just another strategy to fortify the budding police state in America. It is a type of psychological warfare, you might say. Make law enforcement officials hate right-wingers and they will remain loyal to a destructive leftist agenda.
Maybe most importantly they want the common people of the left and right to continue to hate each other. I say common people because there are two lefts and two rights. There are the destructive leaders and there are the unknowing people and it is like that on both sides of the aisle. We are all “useful idiots” in one way or another. They want no common ground to be had. The truth is, that despite the media spin, many people in this country can relate to both Occupy Protesters and Bundy Ranch Supporters. But the powers that be do not want you to wake up and realize that. They want you to hate each other.
Their power can only be kept by Americans remaining divided.
With all of that said, it will come as no surprise to our readers that the Millers were involved in the “Occupy Movement.” Again, the liberty movement is massive but the Occupy Protests tend to be attributed to the left. Bundy Ranch tends to be associated with the right. They are both cases of civil disobedience but obviously the media wants to paint a picture of the Millers as being people who voted for Romney rather than Obama. This is how the media constantly pushes the agenda of the left. Nearly every news publication in America printed something about the associations of the Millers, but very few printed this:

“So when you meet those who disbelieve, strike necks…” (Qur’an 47:4) But of course any Muslim who takes such a verse at face value is misunderstander of Islam, unduly influenced by greasy Islamophobes. Somehow this aggressive organization of misunderstanders of Islam has been able to gain sufficient support and power to wreak havoc in Iraq.
“‘They lined the streets with the decapitated heads of police and soldiers’: Iraqi refugee reveals the horrors of the jihadi takeover as Baghdad vows to fight back,” by Jill Reilly and Kieran Corcoran, Daily Mail, June 12, 2014:
The decapitated heads of policeman and soldiers are lining the streets of Iraq’s second biggest city, a displaced Iraqi woman has revealed today.
Speaking from a refugee camp to which she fled after jihadists from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (also known as ISIS) invaded the northern city of Mosul on Tuesday, the woman told of the horrific treatment meted out to those who do not bow to their rapidly expanding rule.
It would appear the occupation of Mosul was made easier by the fact a reported 30,000 soldiers fled, leaving behind tanks and firearms as just 800 fighters approached.
Less than 24 hours later the oil-rich city of Tikrit was captured by the militants, who then turned their attentions to the capital as it pushes ahead with its aim to overthrow the western-backed government as part of its goal to create an Islamic emirate spanning both sides of the Iraq-Syria border.
As jihadists now march on Baghdad after capturing swathes of northern Iraq male supporters of the government turned out today to enlist.
The recruits will expect to fight back against the ISIS militants,...

The IRS and the FBI are working hand-in-hand to take down conservative groups. The IRS has illegally handed over 1.1 million pages of confidential data to the FBI for the purpose of targeting conservatives.
The perversion of law enforcement agencies for political ends is starkly revealed by the fact that in 2010, as part of its effort to stem the Tea Party movement, the IRS gave the FBI disks containing more than 1.1 million pages of documents on Section 501 non-profits, so that the FBI could selectively prosecute conservative groups and donors.
The facts, as we know them so far, were laid out yesterday in a letter from Congressmen Darrell Issa and Jim Jordan to John Koskinen, Commissioner of the IRS. The letter includes a series of emails that the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has finally obtained, after more than a year of stonewalling by the Obama administration. The IRS originally told the House committee–falsely–that the disks contained only publicly available filings by the non-profit organizations. But the IRS later admitted that it had illegally transferred confidential taxpayer information to the FBI.
The IRS’s purpose was explicitly political. Sarah Ingram, Lois Lerner’s predecessor in charge of tax-exempt organizations at the IRS, wrote in a September 21, 2010 email, the subject of which was a favorable front-page story in the New York Times:
According to Shrimpton, Obama was born in Mombasa, Kenya. Shrimpton says that sits on British Intelligence files, since at the time of Obama’s birth, Kenya was considered a part of the British Commonwealth.
Mr. Shrimpton also indicated that Obama’s father was tied to a group known as the Mau Mau, and that he ran guns and money for them and the German Intelligence Network in East Africa.
According to Shrimpton, Obama’s mother Stanley Ann Dunham, was not pregnant in 1961, but instead gave birth to Barack Obama in 1960. He says that Obama’s mother was one of many of Obama’s mistresses.

On Tuesday the British jets identified a number of Russian aircraft, including four Sukhoi Su27 fighters, a Tupolev 22 bomber, a Beriev A50 early warning aircraft and an Antonov An26 transport aircraft, the RAF reported.
The Russian aircraft appeared to be carrying out routine training.
Wing Commander Ian Townsend said that this was also a routine deployment for his aircraft.
“We regularly intercept Russian and civilian aircraft from UK Quick Reaction Alert and so this type of mission is core business for us and exactly what we were sent to the Baltic region by NATO to do,” he said as quoted by the Royal Air Force website.
Flight Lieutenant Mark Long, one of the pilots of the Typhoons also remarked that there was nothing unusual about the interception.
“Todays’ interception of the Russian Flankers [SU27 fighters] is all in a day’s work for an RAF fighter pilot,” he said.
The increased military activity in the Baltic region comes after 10 NATO countries launched Sabre Strike, along with Baltic Host 2014 and Baltops 2014 naval drills. Up to 4,700 troops and 800 military vehicles are taking part.

U.S. could replace Iraq’s oil production losses but Obama won’t allow it
While we weren’t paying attention, post-war Iraq grew into a major force in the global oil market. Reaching a 30-year high, its production and exports have climbed steadily since 2011—making Iraq the second largest producer in OPEC, the seventh globally. The International Energy Agency (EIA) has forecast that Iraq has the fifth-largest proven oil reserves.
Just one year ago, Iraq was celebrating its increased production. At a ceremony in Baghdad, Thamir Gladhban, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Advisory Commission on Energy, touted expected production of 4.5 million barrels per day by the end of 2014. Earlier this year it was announced that “thanks to a small group of international oil companies developing oil fields and infrastructure,” Iraqi oil exports “shot up.” Iraq’s deputy Prime Minister for energy, Hussain Al-Shahristani, reported that average production, including exports, exceeded 3.5 million barrels per day—which he called “unprecedented.”
Iraq’s newfound ability came just in time. Last week, the EIA predicted that global oil demand will rise from 91.4 million barrels per day in 2014’s first quarter to 94 million during the last 3 quarters. BUSTED: Media Fails to Mention Vegas Shooters Involvement in “Occupy Movement”
Sometimes I wonder how we can elect any conservatives at all in this country. According to past studies, 89% of journalists in America tend to vote democrat. Whether they consider themselves liberals, progressives, moderates, conservatives, independents or anything else under the sun, it does not matter. Look at what people do and not what they say.
We have too often seen what happens to good reporters when they challenge the liberal media establishment. Remember the recent case of Sharyl Attkisson? The latest evidence of a liberal media agenda comes from the Las Vegas shooters, Amanda and Jerad Miller. The picture collage at the top of this post paints a much different narrative than we have been fed.

Decapitated heads of policemen and soldiers line the streets of Mosul as ISIS imposes Sharia

IRS Gave FBI 1.1 Million Pages Of Data For Persecution Of Conservatives
It’s really a full time job to keep up with all the Obama admin scandals. Maybe that’s the point? The IRS and the FBI are working hand-in-hand to take down conservative groups. The “secret donor” theme will continue–see Obama salvo today and Diane Reehm (sp). The reference is to Diane Rehm, an NPR radio host. So the IRS, at its highest levels, was trying to advance the Democratic Party’s “secret donor” theme on the eve of the 2010 election, and breaking the law to do so. Could someone maybe go to jail one of these days?
Iraq conflict brings defense stocks in focus
NEW YORK (Reuters) - With the
possibility of escalating violence in Iraq, stocks in the defense sector
could garner more attention next week.
The
stock market and oil prices were rattled late in the week after
violence in the nation escalated as a Sunni insurgency against the
government heats up. A continued escalation of the conflict could result
in a civil war and a possible break-up of the country.
Even
with tensions in the region mounting, the PHLX defense sector (.DFX)
was down about 1 percent for the week, retreating with the broader
S&P 500 (.SPX) after both indexes had closed at record highs on
Monday. Some caution in the market would be expected, but higher oil
prices and concerns about a worsening of the conflict would be felt in
defense and energy areas.
"As
investors try to determine what stocks and which sectors would benefit
if we continue to see troubles in Iraq, it’s logical that more defensive
sectors would benefit and especially the defense stocks themselves,"
said Kate Warne, investment strategist at Edward Jones in St. Louis.
"As
investors get more nervous about the situation in Iraq, it will be a
typical situation where it’s positive for the stocks like oil ... and we
will see more caution across the board in other stocks."
Escalation
doesn't necessarily mean investors will flock to defense stocks solely
on expectations they will see a revenue boost as a result of an increase
in new government contracts.
